South African Air Force and new Helicopters

The Air force has allocated $137 million for Rooivalk attack helicopter production. Interesting as to why we are suddenly spending so much money on land and air warfare material

The arms race is officially on, Tasha.

But that's wild speculation. Maybe the South African military is getting better military equipment just in case . . . it never hurts to be prepared [for the worst].

Anyway, the helicopter does look like it can deliver [a] "formidable" performance. I think it's a good investment.

Perhaps they are just getting themselves ready for in case, it could also be for the threats that they have had from neighbouring countries with the zenophobia attacks but before it seemed like they did not have much in the air, land or sea defense so it might be a good idea for them to be buying something.
