How big of a threat do you think is the Russian military (excluding nukes) to the west? They are nowhere near as well funded as the US for a fact but their army, navy and air force seem to be quite large. What are your views?
They might be a threat to Euroep, but that is about all. About all the can do is attack Ukraine, to get to the rest of Europe they would have to pass through Ukraine, and then maintain a 2000 mile long supply line. This didn't work too well for Hitler, it won't work too well for the Russians.
As to USA, the Russians have no means to get there.
I think because of the collapse of the USSR long ago, that the military power of Russia has been greatly demoted. From a super power, it has become a local power. US still has the advantage, no doubt about that. With the build up and show of force, Russia might slowly get back to it's former glory. It will be a slow crawl back to that point though seeing that there are sanctions in place.
