Even with the eventual defeat of ISIS, it wouldn't be time for Syria to wipe off her tears. The post Assad dispensation (when it materializes) will be characterised by audacious terrorist attacks like the one witnessed before in Iraq around 2006 (they are making a comeback there) but this time without the help of the Americans perse. Whatever comes out of these could be scary ranging from sectarian strife and another hideous round of civil war or worse. The sooner the bull is held by the horns, the better.
