Turkish recent involvement has made it very easy for the opposition to capture some strategically important points. May this be the end of the Assad regime.

More success for Operation Euphrates Shield after the Turkish-backed FSA have now cleared up around 400 square kilometers in Syria of DAESH.
Operation Euphrates Shield has yielded more success after the Free Syrian Army (FSA) supported by Turkish Armed Forces cleared a further 10 villages from DEASH and the YPG in Syria.

A statement by Turkish Armed Forces on Monday confirmed that approximately 400 square kilometres have now been cleared of terrorists since the launch of the operation on August 24.
The operation is focused on the Turkey-Syria border where Turkey aims to improve security and rid the area of DAESH and stop the YPG’s advancement in the region.

The YPG is the militant wing of the PYD, which is considered by Turkey to be the Syrian extension of the PKK, which is recognised as a terrorist organisation by Turkey, the US, EU, and NATO.

Sunday

Turkey's prime minister’s office on Sunday said 10 villages around Jarabulus and three around Al-Rai had been taken over by Turkish-backed FSA.

A string of villages in northern Syria have been captured by FSA forces, a commander on the ground said Sunday, following the group’s previous success in freeing Jarabulus from DAESH.

TRT World's Ediz Tiyansan was one of the first reporters to gain access to the city after it come under full control of Turkish-backed FSA
The FSA commander, who asked to remain anonymous for fear of DAESH retribution, said eight villages within a 20 kilometre (12 mile) radius of Jarabulus, which lies on the Euphrates River, had been taken from YPG forces.

He also said seven militants were killed and a quantity of ammunition was confiscated

Turkey-backed FSA continues advance against DAESH in Syria
The FSA has gained full control of Jarablus in Syria's Aleppo Province, following Operation Euphrates Shield launched by the Turkish Armed Forces and an international anti-DAESH coalition.
The Free Syrian Army (FSA), which is backed by Turkey, continued its advance against DAESH on Saturday after seizing five villages near the cities of Jarablus and Al Rai in Syria’s northern Aleppo Province.

The FSA took control of three villages near Jarablus and another two near Al Rai on the fourth day of Operation Euphrates Shield launched by Turkey backed FSA this week to cleanse DAESH from areas of northern Syria.

Anadolu Agency quoted sources as saying that FSA fighters are now clearing Jarablus of mines and explosives planted by the DAESH terrorist group before its withdrawal from the city. The FSA is now in full control of the city.
On Saturday, one Turkish soldier died and three others were injured when their tanks came under rocket fire from the terrorists in northern Syria.

Anadolu Agency quoted a military official as saying that the rockets were launched at two Turkish tanks operating 7 kilometres (4 miles) south of Jarablus. Turkish forces retaliated with artillery fire and military helicopters airlifted the soldiers to hospitals in Turkey's Gaziantep Province.

Operation Euphrates Shield began early on Wednesday when artillery and air strikes were carried out across the border with Syria, followed by Turkish tanks moving into the country to target DAESH in support of FSA fighters.

Jarablus is located one kilometre (0.6 miles) from the Turkish-Syrian border
An Anadolu Agency reporter in Jarablus has reported that life is returning to normal after DAESH was pushed out of the city, with many workplaces re-opening and children playing on the streets.

One business owner in the district, who asked not to be identified for security concerns, expressed satisfaction about being able to reopen his shop once again.

He said he was happy to regain his freedom as the district he was in had been cleared of DAESH.

Turkey carries out 57 artillery strikes on 16 targets in northern Syria: Turkish military source
Turkish armed forces carried out 57 artillery strikes on 16 militant targets in northern Syria over the last 24 hours, a Turkish military source said on Monday.

The strikes targeted "terrorist groups on the move", the source told Reuters, without elaborating on whether fighters from the Syrian Kurdish YPG or Islamic State were hit.

Turkish military launches ‘61 artillery strikes in northern Syria in 24 hours’
The Turkish Armed Forces have carried out 61 artillery strikes around the northern Syrian town of Jarablus over the past 24 hours, hitting 20 targets, Turkey’s military announced on Aug. 29.

The military said in a statement that it was “taking all measures and showing maximum sensitivity” to prevent harm to civilians, while adding that it had also hit Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) targets in northern Iraq.

Turkey-backed forces pushed deeper into northern Syria on Aug. 29, drawing a rebuke from NATO ally the United States.

The Turkish military is backing the Syrian rebel groups against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), while also targeting the Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), the armed winged of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD).

Militants supported by the Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) alliance, dominated by the YPG, said they would withdraw south after a Turkish push into Syria from the town of Jarablus which rebels captured last week from ISIL.

“We, the military council of Jarablus and its countryside, announce the withdrawal of our forces to the line south of the Sajour River to preserve the lives of civilians and so that no pretext remains for continued strikes on villages and civilians," an online statement from the SDF’s military council said. The Turkey-backed rebels have taken a string of villages south of Jarablus over the past few days after fighting SDF-aligned forces.

A spokesman for the Kurdish group said on Aug. 29 that that local military forces in the Syrian cities of Manbij and Jarablus were being reinforced, but not by the YPG.

Turkey also carried out an air operation on Aug. 29 against outlawed PKK targets in the Gara region of northern Iraq, military sources stated, adding that the damage inflicted in the operation was not immediately clear.

what is Turkey's role in the Syrian civil war?
Turkey has been arming and training the FSA and Syrian Turkmen Brigades to fight against the Syrian regime. there has also been 3 times where we shot down Syrian aircraft which includes a MiG-23, MI-17 and Mohajer-4 UAV. in 2015 during the Turkmen campaign Turkey was giving artillery strikes to help the Syrian Turkmens hold onto Positions. there has also been rumors saying we have Border Guards and Maroon Berets dressing up in plain clothing's and go to Syrian Turkmen units to advise and fight alongside them against the Syrian Regime and YPG.
