The Vietnam War

The Vietnam war brought much controversy. The Vietnamese don't call the war the Vietnam War. Some of them call it a war against American imperialism. I wonder how they see us now. Do they still view their country as one that stood up to the Americans? Do they still see themselves as the victors? I would love to read their history books. I wonder if what they have their history books is accurate. I am planning on going there as a tourist in the next couple of years.
