Third strike option

Nuclear armed nations are revving their nuclear trump cards by creating the third strike option, which involves launching missiles from the sea, the other two options being launching nuclear warheads from land and the air. North Korea is the latest entrant to this league. It seems that the nuclear policy of first strike to disarm an opponent is no longer tenable.

I wonder what many of these leaders are thinking. It seems they are spending a great deal of time devising way's to destroy the human population and the environment. They are willing to commit huge amounts of resources to the creation of weapons of mass destruction and at the same time they pay scant regard to the suffering of the many needy people around the world and to the preservation of the environment.
