Ukraine buy 90 new Bars multifunctional light armored vehicle

National Guard and The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine buys 90 new Bars (Panther) multifunctional light armored vehicle from Cherkassy car plant, which is part of the corporation “Bogdan”, reported defence-blog.com.

The factory developed the armored vehicle within a short period of time, under conditions relating to the ongoing military action in eastern Ukraine, as the army is not fully equipped with the necessary equipment, the factory’s director Vladyslav Sopita said in a press release.

Multifunctional light armored vehicle “Bars” of its own design 4×4, which is designed for tactical missions, border patrols, security checkpoints and conducting combat operations in the city.


As specified agency “Interfax-Ukraine” the press service of the company, the car is built upon import aggregate basis using domestic components. Its estimated cost is about 1 million UAH.

I think this a great news for Ukraine. These are great addition to Ukraine's military defense. They really need more equipment to defend their territory from invading outside force ( such as Russia ) or from conflict inside Ukraine itself.

My opinion is that this news are not good news looking to the road map for "piece" from Minsk some days before. This is only one more sign that Ukraine (which includes also the European Union and the USA) do not want piece for the eastern part of this country. The Russian government is also lying a lot but regarding to Western countries this is nothing. A country that is interested in peace does not react like Ukraine at the moment.

The war has been ongoing and no end in sight, as it has been going on for awhile now and many have died in this battle and the government is struggling to maintain peace over there and wander what will happen now. The light vehicles may be good, as they are light and have many functions can hold off until strong armour ones arrive willl be good to see what occurs later on in this battle. I hope we, don't see bombs being thrown and also planes used as that is a quick way to cause loss of life and also it is not good what is happening there as shows war is the answer and causing more harm.
