I read this painful thread with real anguish, and was about to blurt out that the situation might be worse on our side, it is at least equal. Then it occurred to me that this is a world-wide phenomenon; the perversion, the extra streak of cruelty and sadism has been added in Hong Kong (for snuff films) and the developed countries of the west for child pornography. There is even a philosophical justification that these animals (sorry, no animals behave like humans do; concentration camps and the horrors of Gitmo are our own unique contributions to the world) perverts have built up in their own defence, and it is that we are unaware that even children possess sexuality!

A point that I would like to make is that in India, we have had case after case after case of self-appointed and self-certified men of God very often turning up being at the centre of these scandals. From Ram Rahim Singh back to the quack Sathya Sai Baba (the original was a harmless fakir, loved by those of all religions), we have had a plethora of these. We get Christian priests in jail for molesting and abusing children, we get Muslim mullahs who manage madrassahs, we get Hindu godmen who rape women and abuse children under cover of their preaching; all sail in the same boat.

Now, on international airlines, I am told that a single man is not allotted a seat next to children, sometimes even next to a lone woman (I stopped travelling abroad in 2006); that men are NOT encouraged to make overtures to children, or to give them sweets or candies, or fondle them or pick them up. I started by lamenting to myself that we south Asians are horrible people; I end by lamenting that humans are a curse on the earth.

They have been wasting a lot of time on non issues and saving their own rears, nothing significant happened in legislation to cope with evolving times, nothing much has been done to improve the conditions of populace, unemployment, child labor, deteriorating health system and easy corruption for everyone. Its an evil with many heads.

Sometimes i think we really are.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.

Isn't that the failure of states, which keep asking for sacrifices from its citizens only ....... however, when it comes to serving the citizens, these states fail miserably and leave the gullible common folks at the hands of worst elements of the society ...... roaming free, with no consequences, with no monitoring of their actions. Why our states are only good at preaching us and judging us only? Why these states act all impotent when they have to go after the thugs?

Basically lack of trust on state gave rise to conspiracy theories.
Non one in Pakistan trust the state and its organs.
Statement of state bank will always be seen with suspicions.

Using somebody's else bank account should not be ruled out. A big transaction can also be divided into small ones through multiple deposits/transfers, not necessarily one account though which makes hard to track. I to be frank can not wait to see the perpetrator hanged upside down.

LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday handed down a death sentence on four counts to culprit Imran Ali in the rape and murder case of minor Zainab.

The verdict was announced by ATC Judge Sajjad Ahmad at the Kot Lakhpat Jail, where Imran Ali is held on remand.

Zainab’s father, Haji Muhammad Amin, arrived in Kot Lakhpat to witness the verdict early on Saturday morning.

Security has been increased in and around the central jail and the movement of everyone going in and out of the jail is being monitored.

Muhammad Amin, while speaking to the media, demanded that the prime suspect in the rape and murder case of her daughter should be stoned to death.

Amin said the culprit should be handed down an exemplary punishment so as to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future.

He said it was because of Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar’s special interest that the case was being taken to its logical conclusion at such a pace.
