Bro we are currently using British ejection seats, Turkish targeting pod originally we wanted French targeting pod and French avionics. Some time back PAF was also checking leonardo company's radar for block 3. Pakistan can not make a fully local and will not make a fully Chinese tech FGFA.

They sanctioned F 16s, we came up with Thunder .
French refused avionics and AESA, we came up with better solution.
If they sanction ejection seats, there would be a solution in place.

Rather, We must wait for 6th Gen.

Most planes these days are manufactured by outsourcing, In the case of Jf-17 we have to keep it mind that it is a unique concept where an air force is manufacturing fighter jets and not just issuing tenders to private companies jf-17 is our own machine we can do what ever we please with it.

Combo and How you field them is what matters in the end. Even F-7s can prove worthy to some point if we field them in such a way, That they are nothing more than decoys or Number incremental assets.

Turn them into Armed drones, whose missiles are controlled via AWACS through data link.

With good EW jamming we obeserved on 27th that it could be difficult even to target 4th Generation planes and people are talking about 5th generation becoming useless.

MICA EM has a combo RF/IIR seeker.
I think with "Lock on after Launch" capability, missile is launched in target's assumed direction. The IRST seeker guides the missile and once the missile is close enough to degrade the stealth feature, Radar seeker locks on for terminal guidance.

In our analysis of stealth vs 4.5 gen aircraft, we have to keep one ball squared up - active jamming essentially gives away your stealth completely.

Remember also that the Rafale was designed with stealth in mind an an S duct. But it chose to be relatively stealthier without being a 5th gen that hides its munitions in the belly.
