Austria contracted for 60 new Dingo 2s which will completely delivered by the end of 2019. this means Austria is the 2nd largest user of the Dingo after Germany

Germany approved the export of 4 MEKO A200s to Egypt which 1 will be built locally in one of Egypt's shipyards

it varies. our major equipment MBTs, IFV, APC etc. took some export loses but not to severe. however our major equipment is on the rise because of multiple sales lately. while firearm sales been down for years. but HK is somewhat making some newer sales here and there.

they are also threatening to not co-develop future projects with germany as well...apparently, they foresee a big need, for even bigger arm sales to saudi arabia in the near future (message!)

Give it time, we said to have an "arms embargo" against Turkey and that turned out to be a lie, because we recently supplied them HK G28s, MG4s. same goes for the UAE, we had an "embargo" against them we supplied them something recently, I just don't remember what. and so on. however Saudi Arabia was not a major equipment buyer for us (aka buying tanks, apcs etc.) but they bought a lot of small arms. Merkel is doing anything and everything possible to keep her votes up and her favoritism up for the upcoming elections which is only a couple years away.

could be...but the other side must also be willing to play along.
but indeed policies and officials change. the foreign minister making the statements from the article for example is already long gone.
