Iran is capable of attacking its enemies anywhere, said the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Hossein Salami on Monday, adding that Israel’s destruction is an “achievable goal,” the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

“Today, we can attack the enemy with any intensity and precision and in any area,” warned Salami.

“In the first phase of the Islamic Revolution, we created the capacity to destroy the illegitimate Zionist regime, but in the second phase, we must remove this regime from the world’s geography … this is no longer a dream and is an achievable goal,” he added.

On the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the official website of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei published a document entitled “The Second Phase of the Revolution Statement” in February 2019. The document offered a set of guidelines about the state of affairs in the future as envisaged by Khamenei.

In the document, Khamenei gave “advice” on various matters, such as foreign policy, the economy and lifestyle.

Salami has previously made threats against Iran’s “enemies,” warning that any country which attacked Iran would become a “battlefield.”
Only in wet dreams, I know what they can do....One day we will destroy killers of Imam Hussain R.A and killer turned mourners.

This rhetoric is becoming an daily occurrence. They're practically begging Saudi Arabia or any other regional country to attack them. To get out of the sanctions situation.

I doubt they will attack Israel even if war broke out. I believe they have plan to attack Saudi Arabia and Gulf Arab nations. And have plan for ground invasion of Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, a lot of Arab Shia's will assist them in such a war. I can't understand why people like Iraqi's for example can't just live to themselves and develop their nation. Instead they are creating numerous militias with the intent to support Iran in its regional goals. So if tomorrow Iran sought to do offensive strikes against Saudi Arabia, these Iraqi Shia militias will gladly destroy their own country to support them just out of sectarian hatred. And I don't know if Iraqi government/army can prevent them.

Iran calls EU threat to leave nuclear deal 'illegal'
SEPT. 30, 2019
By Clyde Hughes

Sept. 30 (UPI) -- An Iranian official responded Monday to a European Union warning that it would withdraw from the 2015 nuclear deal if Iran continues on its path away from the deal, calling such a move illegal.

The statement by Abbas Mousavi, Iran's foreign ministry spokesman, was in reaction to the European Union privately telling Iran that it would withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action if Iran takes a fourth step away from the deal. The move could trigger a dispute mechanism and the possibility of a worldwide sanctions snap-back, with the case being sent back to the U.N. Security Council, according to reports.

Since the United States left the deal last year and ratcheted up economic sanctions against Iran, the country has taken measured steps away from its mandated guidelines limiting its nuclear program on three different occasions.

Iran said it would take a fourth action away from the program if Europe doesn't take steps to protect Iran from U.S. sanctions. The Trump administration has refused to remove sanctions before talks with Iran.

"(Snap-back sanctions are) dead and from the legal standpoint, there is no possibility of Europe using the snap-back mechanism," Mousavi said.
The U.S., France, Britain, China, Russia and Germany originally negotiated the JCPOA in 2015 under the Obama administration. President Donald Trump has been a long critic of the deal, claiming that it was not comprehensive enough and only delayed Iran from making a nuclear weapon.

Iranian opposition announces launch of ‘transitional movement’ at UK conference
Monday, 30 September 2019

Members of the Iranian opposition have announced the launch of an opposition movement, which they said will be the nucleus of an alternative transitional government to the current regime in Tehran.

During a two-day conference that began on Saturday in London, Iranian dissidents and opposition parties said that the council will aim to manage a transitional period in Iran under the slogan “crossing over from an Islamic Republic to a democracy in Iran.”

The spokesman for the movement, Shahriar Ahy told Asharq al-Awsat newspaper that it aims to create “a national council that has some legitimacy
so that it can be an alternative if a power vacuum does emerge.”

Political activist Hassan Shariatmadari, who is spearheading the movement, stressed the need to work toward removing the current regime, calling on Iranians to unify in protests against the regime and “break their chains.”

“We are late [in organizing against the regime], and we want to be the voice of the Iranians. We want to tell them [the Iranian people] to cross over and link with us to fight the regime, so you [the people] can succeed in overcoming this political regime, Shariatmadari told Asharq al-Awsat.

Shariatmadari explained that the transitional management will follow a policy of managing “civil resistance, and communicating with Iranians,” on top of communicating with international parties through a specialized department.

“Between the option of maximum pressure and the option of war, the main option on the table was forgotten, which is recognizing the Iranian people,” Shariatmadari said.

“This needs to be taken into consideration, because the Iranian people can get rid of the regime on the condition that this integral part be included in your [international parties’] policies, and that you support and recognize the Iranian people’s representatives and their voices,” he added.

Shariatmadari added that Iranians are apprehensive when it comes to changing the current regime, which has isolated the people and kept them from progress and democracy.

Spokesman Ahy stated that “the transitional council opens its doors to Iranian opposition parties to work on a project that will bring the Iranian regime to its knees.”

He stated that the council is currently made up of ten departments, 11 secretaries, and a management committee comprised of 35 activists, 14 of whom are inside Iran.

“The world should know that the weakness of the regime is not in Syria, Lebanon and Yemen, but in [the international community] coordinating with the struggle of the Iranian people, whose numbers exceed the Islamic Republic and the [regime’s] Revolutionary Guards, but are currently dispersed,” Ahy said.

The council’s spokesman said that consultations over its creation began a year and a half ago, before it was officially announced this week, and insisted it was not partisan.

The conference’s organizers stated that the Iranian embassy in the UK put “diplomatic pressure” on the Royal Institution of Great Britain to prevent the opposition groups from using their venue.

Iran displays guidance upgrade for artillery rockets

The Iranian Army unveiled what appeared to be a new guidance upgrade called the Labeik that converts existing artillery rockets into surface-to-surface missiles on 3 October.

Several Labeik units were displayed in an event attended by General Mohammad Hossein Dadras, the deputy commander of the regular military, and Brigadier General Kioumars Heidar, the commander of its ground forces.

The system looked similar to the guidance units used with the Fateh-110 family of solid-propellent missiles, although its four triangular control surfaces were inverted. As with the Fateh-110 family, these would be attached between the rocket motor and warhead to steer the projectile. They appeared to be compatible with the 610 mm diameter of the Zelzal heavy artillery rocket.

Iranian television showed footage of what was presented as the Labeik being tested, although one of the projectiles seen being launched appeared to be a member of the Fateh-110 family, probably a Hormuz anti-radiation variant.

The Labeik was one of several developments unveiled during the event, the others being the Rouin-Tan light armoured vehicle, the Heider-1 unmanned ground vehicle, the Farpod hand-launched unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), and a mobile jamming system.

The Rouin-Tan that was displayed had a double-cab, pick-up configuration. An interior shot showed the dashboard of a Toyota Land Cruiser 70, but this might be a local copy produced for Iran's Aras tactical vehicle.

Iranian television aired footage that appeared to show the composite armour used to protect the vehicle being successfully tested against 12.7 mm rounds and a high-explosive anti-tank round projectile.
