Most of the world DOES respect president Obama. If Americans don't respect him, how did he twice get elected president, especially with so many Republican dominated states suppressing Democratic voters? What do we do for Ukraine, Nuke Russia? We have enacted sanctions, and greatly improved our relations with most of the world by treating other nations with respect. Under the president's leadership, we have been able to convince Iran to allow every inch of their nuclear program be inspected by the IAEA. Yes, Israel wants to risk making most of the mid-East uninhabitable by bombing the Nuclear facilities of Iran. but they also gave nukes to the Afrikaners. which the united people of South Africa have dismantled. Wouldn't it be nice if Israel had a leader with the morality of Nelson Mandela? Instead they have Bibi making salutes that are reminiscent of Hitler after lying his way into re-election.
I'm sorry....are you trying to make a joke? I think it's pretty clear that most of the world does not respect President Obama. Our allies can't get anything from him, our enemies get everything from him, and even causes that are just and should be supported never see any reaction from him. That's all foreign policy alone and we haven't even began to talk about home.
The President got elected twice because of misinformed voters - he literally misled the public with lies. Remember the War on Women? What a nonsensical joke that was - took two weeks for the media to realize it was made up. To be honest if Hurricane Katrina had not interrupted the final days of polling and the GOP convention - things probably would have been different. Romney made some missteps there that cost him big time. Remember Herman Cain's mysterious mistresses who made adulterous accusations until he dropped out - did you find it funny that they vanished after he dropped out? There's been far too much dishonesty to ignore.
In 2008 the nation was tired, and after 2 term Presidents the nation usually turns over to the next party. In 2012 we put up a weak candidate who refused to play dirty, couldn't match the Obama campaigns penchant for throwing dirt, and just didn't connect with the voters. Of course even you realize that the youth elected President Obama in 2008, they barely showed up in 2012, and the remaining voters voted his party OUT of both the Congress and Senate in 2014 (which is kind of a big deal). Furthermore we're seeing a lot of blow back and buyer remorse now from those who supported Obama. Did you know the director of the Nobel Association and the man who who nominated and pushed for President Obama was fired this year for giving the prize to President Obama? That's really amazing in and of itself - even the Nobel Prize Association is embarrassed.
Unfortunately you seem to be giving the President more credit than he is due. Iran convinced us to drop sanctions in return for a plan that required them to decrease uranium enrichment outputs, decrease the number of production facilities, and to allow UN inspectors to make inspections. Ironically this is the exact same deal, almost word for word, that we agreed to LAST TIME with Iran. It took Iran less than a week to violate every part of it and shut down the nation to UN inspections. Concerning the bill France called us cowards who gave Iran everything in return for nothing. Ironically, and the left wing seems to forget this, the Iran Deal isn't a deal - the President has no authority to make a deal like this. Ultimately it is up to the Congress to vet this deal and to decide whether it is right or wrong for America. So far it seems to be wrong.
Israel just wants to exist. Consider this. If Mexico was waging a quasi war against us and was shooting rockets into the southern states - would America react with military force? The answer is yes. While Mexico is doing this if Venezuela then made statements saying that they would wipe America off the face of the Earth with nuclear weapons - would America recognize them as a threat? The answer is again yes. So to disregard the woes of Israel is to hypocritically disregard the woes of any nation - including your own.
Now unless you can provide an actual reason for Obama being respected, which is he is not, but I'll play your scenario I think you're kind of coming off as weak in this debate. I can already tell from your posting style that you do not like Republicans. This quote proved that much: "Republican dominated states suppressing Democratic voters". We are both well aware that there are no Republican dominated states suppressing any Democratic voters...that's pure nonsense and fiction. I can tell you are one of those who cannot judge the President for who he is or his actions. I can see that by your disregard of history, this President's policies and actions, and your inability to admit that he isn't a good President. There's a certain fraction of the population on the left side who are desperate to make this President look good and will go to any length to defend him (even in cases where he is indefensible). Furthermore you haven't seemed to grasp the big picture.
