The cost of the project is estimated to be $12.7 billion which was announced in December 2014 in response to the canceled South Stream route through Bulgaria.

If Assad is overthrown, Qatar can substitute Russia and install gas pipeline all the way to Europe through Turkey. Dealing with Russia now is not a good idea.

That's one of the reasons why the war started in the first place.

How is that going to happen if you look at the way things are at the moment?
Where is the GCC military,do you think the FSA with some help from Turkiye can do the job?
I dont think so.
You need to be active.

That would have been a good idea for Europe instead of being under the mercy of Russia.
They already are at the mercy of Russia. Creating a conflict to overthrow a government is against international law.

you do realize that the this happened more than once, not just in Syria (or trying to start in Syria). It has happened in Libya and look at the problems there. overthrowing any regime in any country won't solve nothing, unless you can have a really stable politcian that can help the country from continious civil war.

I agree, the policy of regime change does not even work yet they continue to press for it. Maybe a legitimate argument could be made for regime change in Syria if Libya turned out a success. They keep pursuing a failed policy.
