In technical terms, Standard Blk 70/72 is only exceeded by, the upgraded Blk60's, with their liquid cooled radars, built in IRST etc.

Speculatively speaking, The Bahraini F-16's were for $70/m per unit, a multi year contract i.e. DoD with Lockheed, would definitely bring down the price.

Nonetheless, the following retractable probe, inflight capability is not restricted to just Blk70/72, but can be employed on Blk52's as well, and would do wonders.

A weakened India means a China that is more focussed further west. US won't have that. As long as China's military keeps getting stronger, US will keep relying on India to draw away it's focus.

There is a huge Indian Diaspora is the US. With CEOs of majority of tech giants to now Congresspersons and governors of states from Indian origin. A lot of staffers at senior level are also Indian. So I dont foresee US going after India unless Indians do something really bad against the US.

Moroccan contract for 25 new Blk 72 is 3.87B (154M / plane) + 983M (40M/plane) to upgrade existing 25 to V std. Don't know exactly what is included in 154M/plane from weapons perspective. If we get new ones at 75M/plane, 36 would be 2.7B plus upgrade existing for another 1.5B. So 5B will get you a fleet of 110 very able platforms. If those are augmented by 24-36 J-15Ps, there will have a lot of wet dhotis amongst our eastern neighbors. Check mate Modi for the next 5-8 years. Hopefully we can use that time to improve our economy and put it on a solid footing and have robust indegenious programs in motion to counter future threats.

EDIT: Bahrain paid 70m per unit for 16 Blk 70 recently.

US knows India is of no value to them. India has proven itself weak and useless again Pakistan. India’s border with China is un fightable due to extreme mountainous terrain so involving armored divisions is least possible mostly, except for air arm divisions and AirForce as well as special forces. So India lacks numbers and quality in that

Lately, India has become a delusional stubborn kid that believes it is a supapawa and will not become bait for anyone.

So, since Trump is coming back, expect something changing in upcoming times.
