@Khafee yes they are sea kings from Qatar 10 of them
6 Mk 45s initial order (1975) - Lost 1 during Dipping Sonar tests. Was replaced in late 80s@Gripen9 So what is the Sea King count now?
Does match Qatari Sea KingsSo these are Qatari sea kings for PN, with actual paint and PN logo

@Khafee PN is getting Sea Kings from Qatar - 10 of them
So in total PN has 6+7+10=23
Initially we had 6, then in 2017 we got 7 from UK and now these 10.
I think 11 from Qatar.6 Mk 45s initial order (1975) - Lost 1 during Dipping Sonar tests. Was replaced in late 80s
Bought 7 from UK but only 3 air worthy 2x Hc4 Commandos and 1 Mk 8 SAR bird (rest just airframes no engines). Lost 1 Commando in 2018 in a crash.
now these 10 from Qatar
So 6 + 2 + 10 = 18 airworthy (in service)
Apparently the Qatari Sea Kings have over 50% life left on engines and airframe so PN is quite happy with them.
They are in good condition, just usual maintenance, rest they are ready to fly.Question is would they go through some retrofit @Khafee
its a huge shot they gotThey are in good condition, just usual maintenance, rest they are ready to fly.
@Rashid Mahmood once mentioned that ex-PN pilots fly them, so I think PN is quite aware of their conditions and capabilities.
Would make sense to get them as well. We need to build maintenance facilities in Pakistan to overhaul these and support once OEM phases support out. Currently major components get serviced by Westland in UK.now question is will they try grabbing the egyptian ones too
and just say bye bye to italian new built ones
we are not getting Sea Kings from Italy, the new heli's from Italy are required to compliment our ships being bought from Turkey.now question is will they try grabbing the egyptian ones too
and just say bye bye to italian new built ones
