No need just increase Type 52 D numbers and work with China to further improve it. We should have never selected Type 54 A. We should have worked with China redesign Type 54 A in a way that its 32 VLS are divided by 2. What I mean is that there should have been 16 VLS in it for Air Defence and 16 VLS for long range land attack Cruise Missiles.

A-70s are 50 odd years old, that is lots of haul pressure on the body of these. Expecting them to marshal on after 8 Chinese SSKs are added is asking for trouble. At best they could server as shore based training platforms. The Daphines were retired about 50 years of service thus expect the same on A-70s.

Isn't it more important to induct more Frigates and upgrade F22P Frigate of Pakistan Navy and build more corvettes (Jinnah Class) then inducting Destroyers??

If you really want to keep India at bay and avoid getting a Naval blockade by them, than Destroyers or Frigates with VLS for land attack Cruise Missiles are must.

I know it's wishful thinking, but if PN is able to continue producing Jinnah Class in-house, AIP Submarines in-house, then we should go for type 055 destroyer ( 2 at least) off the shelf offcourse.

3 = the existing Agosta 90B

8 = the new subs from China. OF which 2 are boomers.
