In all fairness, yes locust is a punishment from God, but this is not the first time it is happening. It happens every few years, for which Govt depts should remain vigiliant, and ready to counter attack.

Imran Khan has proven him self beyond idiot... he failed to close borders and now he failed to timely act on locust influx, and all that despite getting warned and advised by the people around him.
He is clearly doing it, while knowing all about the miserable consequences.... he's not only responsible of all this mess by being head of state, he's openly and blatantly leading the all around destruction.

Last serious attack was almost 20 years back and the entire department responsible for the protection and taking action was wrapped up and non functional for the past many years .
