SU-34 will soon start operating ELINT Systems. the UKR-RT pod is carried centreline on SU-34, the payload of the pod is based off the M-410 ELINT System used on TU-214R. Almaz-Antey is going through the final tests for the aircraft and this will expect to phase out all the SU-24MPs.

for the first time Western Military District Crews of the MiG-29SMT have performed bombing with guided munitions in the Leningrad region. During the tactical exercise the MiG-29SMT Crews used missiles and cannons during air combat as well as using KAB-500 Unguided bombs. 50 servicemen and 6 MiG-29SMTs were involved.
