Curious to see what you've got, as The Irish Army isn't a force comparable to other modern military.... though I do like their armament. Sorry in advance for the low-res pics!

Standard service rifle is the AUG, with ACOG sights
120px-AUG_A1_508mm_04.jpg

It used to be the FN FAL until the late 80's.

Standard Pistol is H&K USP
120px-HK_USP_9mm_Pragl.jpg

Sniper teams are issued the AWM .338
300px-L115A3_sniper_rifle.jpg

....Special Forces....

Ranger Pistol is the P226
120px-SIG_Sauer_P226_neu.jpg

Ranger issued AUG A2 and A3, respectively, with a M203 launcher optional

The HK416
300px-HK416.jpg

A.M. Rifle is the .50 AW50, again, just for Ranger teams

and the HK417 for Sniper teams

Some of the other weapons used by the Ranger Wing:

Benelli M4 (M1014)

And of course the MP5

Some of the other LMG's and launchers used are:

The FN MAG

M2 Browning

The AT4 CS

M2CG recoilless (I would love to try it out.)

And the essential Javelin!

Everything is hush hush when it comes to the kind of equipment they have. My first encounter with the military is during a trade show where they exhibited some machinery that I do not have a name for. It is very rare to meet with an army man where I come from. Seeing their machinery is only when they decide to exhibit it for a purpose.

Great question and answers guys. My country (Portugal) really doesn't have the most modern equipment, we have some war vessels, a few F16 (old ones I know, bought second hand to the US) and a couple of submarines that were bought in a case of corruption. We are a small country after all.

Your country has the Galil as one of the rifles? I did not know you guys are also using the G36 rifle too. Learning something new everyday.

Actually Malaysia is pretty well equipped. I'm more worried about this country getting more weapons.

Sadly, as far as I know, Philippines is not well-armed with modern equipment and weapons. Honestly, I don't think we will stand a chance if our nation will ever go to war against other countries. But I have read somewhere that Philippines is actually pursuing a military modernization program. I just hope this will be consistent and sustainable.

(hehe) Well, they were still being issued to some units here in the first Gulf War and the incident in Panama. I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't still some floating around in Guard units.

In the UK we got regular infantry teams get a standard issue L85A2 with an under-slung grenade launcher. Sniper teams get the l115A3, a master in international accuracy and with a .50 lua barrel makes it deadly.
