I remember the 747 that did wheels up landing at Islamabad. Apparently the Captain had the undercarriage alarm disconnected.
25/8/1989; Fokker F-27-200; AP-BBFShed some more light on it please
Is it still a mystery ?25/8/1989; Fokker F-27-200; AP-BBF
On August 25, 1989, AP-BBF was operating early morning flight from Gilgit to Islamabad when it vanished in the Karakoram Mountains. The wreckage was not found. There were a total of 54 people on board including 5 crew members.
Cockpit Crew: Captain S.S. Zubair; Captain Ahsan Bilgrami under supervision
Ahsan Bilgrami was first officer of B747 that dis belly landing a year before
So Sad, I can only wonder how much the families would have suffered.Wreckage was never found, it just dropped off the radar.
