I remember the 747 that did wheels up landing at Islamabad. Apparently the Captain had the undercarriage alarm disconnected.

On February 4, 1986, AP-AYW made belly landing at Islamabad Airport around 9:00 AM in the morning. The Boeing Boeing 747-282B was arriving as PIA flight PK-300 from Karachi with 247 passengers and 17 crew members onboard. Luckily everyone survived this accident caused by pilot error. AP-AYW was repaired with Boeing Company's technical assistance

Apparently forgot to lower the landing gear. What happened to his career? Rubber ducks out of Hong Kong?

Dunno about the Captain. First officer still flew afterwards. He was captaining the ill fated Fokker that got lost out of Gilgit. Still no sign of that.

Wreckage was never found, it just dropped off the radar.
So Sad, I can only wonder how much the families would have suffered.

I will dive into deep research on this one, See if I could relate India to it somehow, But Not in a pleasant mood right now.

So what are the possible conclusions PA/PAF came up with related to the disappearance ?
