I believe bases in Balochistan will protect the civil population too because in war they are going to be targeted. The bases in Karachi right now are very very close to civilians. Which is a threat to the civilians and the armed forces. We're all aware of the terrorist attacks on airforce bases.

I know there is one in Omera if im not mistaken but that is too far. I believe J-15s should be near karachi but not in Karachi. Thus their radius can be fully utilized.

believe it or not There is no getting rid of big base it is actually of the most important base for Pakistan and has a load of capability, my friend you can put an air base in the middle of chagai and in 5 years it will turn into a population. Air bases attract business in Pakistan/all over the world.

Base in Baluchistan will not be feasible for defensive ans PAF is highly concentrated on defensive and has recently build up it's offensive capability and a very good one indeed. Infrastructure will also be a very big problem.

On the contrary FCU Training base can be moved to somewhere in south KPK or north Baluchistan with some offensive capability.

Multan can be upgraded heavily and there is potential

Risalpur/Mardan has an even better potential for both offensive and defensive operation's

My theory is JF-17 will do escort for J15 that's why this reshuffle is going on Masroor Gona host JF17 and Jf15 combo along ZDK3 make perfect sence and other side Bolhari gonna host mirages along F16 s so J15 will be attacker and JF-17 will provide them cover.

I have been mentioning this now that even if J-15 is acquired, it is built on Chinese standards in electronics/avionics/comm where as PAF prefers freedom of integration of system whether Western or local or Chinese. Similarly, when other acquisitions like JH-7 or EFT or Mirage-2000 are talked about, please remember that PAF's psyche has changed now regarding aircrafts after induction of JF-17 and thats why Azm has been put forward.

The best options that PAF has easy and best access to weapons are the chinese and they are the best in terms of specs as well.

So I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t get Chinese systems in limited numbers.

Best option that PAF sees is plug and play systems.

JF-17 uses western weapon systems like MAR-1, GPBs etc. The flexibility to use all kinds of local, western and chinese systems is preferred by PAF. If J-15 gives such leverage to PAF, then by all means go ahead, however lets see what is the result of such negotiations between PAF and Chinese.
