This is the moment a man burning a copy of the Quran was attacked by a protester before police intervened.
A demonstration organised by Stop Islamization of Norway (SIAN) in the city of Kristiansand turned violent after the group’s leader, Lars Thorsen set fire to a copy of the Quran despite a police order banning the action.
The group had warned SIAN against desecrating the holy book.
Two copies were thrown into a bin during the rally and when Thorsen set fire to another one a man can be seen jumping on to him. The man then grabs Thorsen before police break up the skirmish.

It is reported both Thorsen and those who tried to stop him from burning the Quran were detained by police.

The Israeli municipality in Safed has turned Al-Ahmar Mosque into a bar and events hall, reported yesterday. As one of the most historical mosques in the Arab city, which was occupied by the Jewish gangs in 1948, the building was first turned into a Jewish school, then into a centre for Likud’s elections campaigns and then into a clothes warehouse before finally being converted into a nightclub.
The London-based newspaper reported that the mosque was turned to a bar and wedding hall by an firm affiliated to the Israeli municipality. Its name was changed from Al-Ahmar Mosque to Khan Al-Ahmar.
Khair Tabari, secretary of Safed and Tiberias Islamic endowment, said that he had been waiting for the Nazareth court to take a decision regarding a complaint he filed requesting the evacuation of the mosque and returning it to the endowment.

He said he attached documents to prove Islamic ownership of the mosque. He called for the different political and popular bodies to increase their cooperation with him in order to save the mosque from violations.
Safed was once home to 12,000 Palestinians who were forced out of their homes in 1948.
Tabari said that the mosque is now open for use for everything except prayers by Muslims.

The problem we are facing now a days that we are not being Muslims ( ummah). We are divided in different countries and everyone has its personal and geopolitical interests. There is no single leader available in entire ummah.
Palestine, kashmir, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, libiya, now Azerbaijan, Afghanistan.
Why is there war and chaos in every Muslim country?? Why not in some Christians and jews states??
Will we ever wake up to this?

I give the credit to Brits,
They are responsible for eliminating Khilafah,
But the blame is on us, We didn’t consider rebuilding it from shatters, Rather, Everyone went their own way.

The world will soon see another Major change.

Muslim bloc can again happen, But for that to happen, Pakistan has to stand up, Get the Arabs on table, We already have Indonesia and Malaysia with us, They are no big deal, Rather they are followers, Looking to follow someone.

My point is that we all are at faults somewhere. No one is holy cow. Even the Christians are keeping pope ( a symbolic representation of their religion), we don't have a Khalifa now. We are divided in sects, fighting each other. Heart bleeds sir @Khafee

There is no doubt that Europe is full of Churches that used to be Mosques. But we must stand against such moves as we have most to loose from such conversions. Here in Toronto we have few mosques that are built by converting old churches.

The problem starts when Hindus start justifying conversion of Barbari mosque and Jews demand converting Masjid Aqsa to Temple Mount. What moral and political ground Muslims will stand to oppose these plans?

Erdogan has ruled long enough and did well initially for his country. Just like every dictator minded person he has outlived his usefulness and needs to move.

I was invited to the Turkish council General's house to discuss some business last week. I was late because of the construction and no parking zone. She actually came down to my car with her husband and we talked there. Absolutely incredibly hard working and down to earth people. Later I went to another Turkish official's house and he was extremely hospitable and we talked for a while. One thing I noticed is that these people have global ambitions. They are no longer talking about Turkey but about the region and how they want to compete with the likes of France and England.
Turks hate Britain and France equally. They consider Germany not worth their time and attention. Greece they laugh at...

One reason I heard from some Turks is that they did this simply to irritate Europe.
