But yeh hamari side par aaye hi kyn thy ????
Bhai this is the primary job of subs to quietly sneak into enemy territory and perform its duty....Now if a sub has gone down in today'd world it owuld not be easy to hide it. I think they will hold it till 29th when they are inducting Rafale after that they will come in the open about the sub.

Does India have a sub recovery platform? Does Pakistan? What laws apply...if let's say the sub happens to be sunk in Pakistan's EEZ...and Pakistan recovers it(if possible)?

It's a expensive process to recover a sub, I don't see a reason to recover it unless it is a highly classified sub.

PN Doesn't have one, not sure if they plan to or not. IN is planning to or is constructing one or perhaps ordered one. Thus I was looking for info on US Sub Recovery Ship out of Gulf.

If not mistaken, they have to notify you as to what their recovery ships doing parked there, however since its still part of International Ocean you can't force them out for just being parked there. Take for instance US flotilla passing thru Chinese EEZ

S21, lol, that's one of the Scorpene, lick # one for the French on Submarine, many more to go courtesy of Indian Armed Forces. 'Gray Lady Down.'

Did they forget to close the inner hatch for torpedo tube while opening the outer to let the divers out ? or open the inner while outer was still open ?

I think more than recon was going on here, which backfired.

Let me put my wild theory as well, a Routine/Training Patrol/ of PN Sub in our EEZ, just on the out skirts on our EEZ & a View of Indian EEZ/Sea Lines for our new Crew/Testing of Updated systems of our Sub.

While we were returning an Indian SSK decided to make way with us ( intention unknown but at least to make PN Sub Surface ) BUT instead Divine Intervention came & their Sub went Cold while we are back home after the routine deployment.

DISCLAIMER: This is a work of fiction. Names, Parties involved, events and incidents are the products of the author's imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.

ANOTHER DISCLAIMER :-Its more wild theory pure work of fiction Nothing to do with real event or parties concern .

Project Azorian

Project Azorian (erroneously called "Jennifer" by the press after its Top Secret Security Compartment)[2] was a U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) project to recover the sunken Soviet submarine K-129 from the Pacific Ocean floor in 1974, using the purpose-built ship Hughes Glomar Explorer.[3][4] The 1968 sinking of K-129 occurred approximately 1,600 miles (2,600 km) northwest of Hawaii.[5] Project Azorian was one of the most complex, expensive, and secretive intelligence operations of the Cold War at a cost of about $800 million, or $4 billion today.

In addition to designing the recovery ship and its lifting cradle, the U.S. used concepts developed with Global Marine (see Project Mohole) that utilized their precision stability equipment to keep the ship nearly stationary above the target while lowering nearly three miles (4.8 km) of pipe. They worked with scientists to develop methods for preserving paper that had been underwater for years in hopes of being able to recover and read the submarine's codebooks. The reasons this project was undertaken probably[citation needed] included the recovery of an intact R-21 nuclear missile and cryptological documents and equipment.

The Soviet Union was unable to locate K-129, but the US knew where to look. Based on data recorded by four Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) sites and the Adak Sound Surveillance System (SOSUS) array, the US identified an acoustic event on March 8 that likely originated from an explosion aboard the submarine. The US zeroed in on the location to within five nautical miles (5.8 mi; 9.3 km). The submarine USS Halibut located the boat using the Fish, a towed, 12-foot (3.7 m), two-short-ton (1.8 t) collection of cameras, strobe lights, and sonar that was built to withstand extreme depths. The recovery operation in international waters about six years later used as its cover mining the sea floor for manganese nodules. The company was nominally owned by Howard Hughes who, secretly backed by the CIA, had paid for construction of Hughes Glomar Explorer.[6] While the ship recovered a portion of K-129, a mechanical failure in the grapple caused two-thirds of the recovered section to break off during recovery.

Now how would India afford to salvage the sub at such depths. Itnay mein tu new sub a gya gi....

This kind of a 'fictionary' scenario seems unprecedented. What kind of situation would escalate to something like this? @Khafee?

EEZ is international waters and anyone has a right of passage through it. They cannot however derive any economic benefit from it like commercial fishing or oil/gas/mineral exploration.
Your territorial waters start at 12 nm from shores. That is when you have the right to take any action you deem necessary for defense.
