Saudi Arabia border Israel the gulf of Aqaba aka gulf of Eilat. You can wet the peace agreement swallow it. The distance is about 10 min from Tabuk air base to Israel and you know what does this base contain.*-^

But hey cousin why the fight? Just accept the peace initiative proposed by Saudi Arabia and I will visit Jaffa and we both can chill.(:-) Remember we are cousin by blood and we have a common enemy now if you know what I mean.(:-)

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Are you referring to Iran?

Saudia might handle Iran well but doubt that Israel could. The sole reason being that Israel doesn't border Iran and mostly will rely on air strikes first SEAD to naturalize Iran missile launches followed by surgical air strikes, that all it could do. Iran will rain fall missiles over Israel destroying both Israel and Palestine.

How many US bases are actually surrounding Iran? If you figure that out you would be able to predict the whole scenario.

Iran has made a big mess in the Middle East and I would definitely be cheering up if the crazy mullahs holding power in Iran are to be thrown away like the trash they are.

Then Iron Dome (Anti-Ballistic system of Israel) will bloke all missiles... then Iran just will eat a few nucs and die..
Iran doesn't have this system by the way..

Iron Dome is designed to intercept rockets and artillery shells not missiles with a small range roughly about 60km. You’ll no doubt be intrigued to learn that Iran missiles are unguided which means great circular error probability corresponding to 50% radius. You do the math and for sure the result will be unsatisfying, good luck.

Please tell him Iron dome can only intercept Hamas fireworks. @Dan.BY this not an overestimation of Iran. No doubt that Israel can inflict notable damage to Iran military targets and cause a complete paralysis but to say that Iran missiles will not be able to hit Israel then you better think twice.

Iron Dome

Iron Dome is a short-range anti-rocket system developed by Israel's Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and originally produced in Israel. Iron Dome's targeting system and radar are designed to fire its Tamir interceptors only at incoming projectiles that pose threats to the area being protected (generally, strategically important sites, including population centers); it is not configured to fire on rockets headed toward unprotected areas. Iron Dome batteries can be moved to respond to changes in Israeli areas subject to threat.

The Israel Air Force opened a second squadron of F-35 stealth fighter jets, The Jerusalem Post has learned. The squadron will be called “Defenders of the South.” According to industry sources, Israel will have 20 F-35I fighter jets by 2020.

Built by Lockheed Martin, the jets have an extremely low radar signature, allowing them to operate undetected deep inside enemy territory, as well as evade advanced missile defense systems like the S-300 and S-400, which have been deployed in countries such as Syria.

With close air-support capabilities and a massive array of sensors, pilots of the stealth jet have an unparalleled access to information while in the air.

The IAF currently has 14 F-35 Adir aircraft and is expected to receive a total of 50 planes to make two full squadrons by 2024.

With a need to keep ahead of increased threats in the Middle East, the IAF is set to decide within the coming months whether to place orders on several new aircraft to upgrade its aging squadrons.

The IAF is also now considering whether to purchase an additional 25 F-35s to give Israel a total of 75 stealth fighter jets.

While the F-35I has advantages such as intelligence gathering, the F-15IA’s assets closely match most missions carried out by the IAF, such as dealing with enemy missile launch sites or terror targets on its northern or southern borders.

Although the F-35 is considered one of the world’s most advanced fighter jets, the stealth aircraft is limited in the weapons they are able to carry, as they have to be stored in internal munition boxes to maintain a low radar signature.

And in parallel to the fifth-generation aircrafts, the IAF needs to retain its qualitative military edge and modernize an essential squadron of its fighter fleet. Most of the IAF’s F-15s are more than 30 years old, with the majority acquired in the second half of the 1970s, in comparison to the more advanced squadron of the F-15, as the F-15I arrived in Israel in the 1990s.

The F-15IA model that the IAF is leaning toward purchasing is one of the most advanced and cost-effective fighter planes ever to be built, with various upgrades to the earlier models such as more efficient engines and fly-by-wire avionics, which is considered the biggest change to the jet in 20 years.

Officials believe that a force mix of F-35I Adirs along with a squadron of F-15IA would allow Israel to carry out a number of complex operations, including any possible confrontation with Iran on its borders.

Media: Russia has disrupted Israel’s radars

May 23, 2019

The Russian news site Avia.pro claims that Russia’s “Krasukha” electronic warfare systems have disrupted the Israel Defense Force’s radars.

The site presents arguments to support its theory: the regular flights by Israeli reconnaissance aircraft in the Golan Heights region, and at least three cases of blimps being launched in the same territory to observe the positions of Syrian aerial defense systems. The Russian news outlet sees this as evidence that Israel’s ground radar systems are functioning poorly.

According to anonymous experts cited by the publication, the effects of electronic warfare systems may have driven Israel to adopt such measures.

“Russia has started using its radar jamming systems again following more frequent attacks by jihadists and the high level of activity of American aircraft over the Mediterranean Sea, as a result of which Israel simply cannot obtain objective information about the positions of Syrian aerial defense systems, thereby forcing the Syrian military to open fire on aerostat decoys,” the news site writes, citing the initial appraisals of the unnamed specialists.

The article notes that the Russian electronic warfare systems are stationed at the Khmeimim Airbase, and “are completely capable of jamming northern Israel”.

The news site points out that the Israelis have not used fighter jets in the three most recent attacks on facilities in Syria, possibly due to fear of losses that could be caused by the Russian S-300 aerial defense system in Syria.

It was reported previously that Russia had deployed Krasukha and Divnomorye systems in Syria. Experts believe they will be used to jam the onboard radars and communication and guidance systems of aircraft that attack Syrian facilities.
