With the Su-35 there were two issues that I remember:

1) The Radar

2) The ability to incorporate Chinese & Pak weapons i.e. source codes.

Since these two issue were not addressed satisfactorily, it was dropped. Given the reliability & parts issues with Russian h/w PAF was actually using them as a decoy for a EuroFighter deal. Used + New, but the Turks messed that one up royally.

PAF was negotiating used ItalianEF's, upgraded to T3b specs, plus new ones. The italians were literally desperate to sell, then the Turks showed up, "supposedly" interested in the same deal. This made the deal turn sour for PAF, and the Turks didn't buy it either.

I dont believe in coincidences, this is sabotage.

Keeping an eye on the relations between Turkey and Pakistan it's hard to believe that it's indeed a sabotage, but why Turks will do it, I means what they get from that. secondly if they are not buying, why we the deal is not back on Track? ...I heard Abt. That deal also, but what I got is that it is due to pressure of France vis a vis Meteor and Fatf grey list.

You call lip service relations? Pls check when IK was rallying allies for funds, Turkey actually increased tariffs on Pakistani imports.

While you are at it, check which Muslim country has the closest diplomatic, economic, and military relations with Israel.

Speaking of this. Why not focus on these if not the SU-35? Drop the new F-16s and focus on this. Atleast we wont expect delays and sabotage by the US or any other country. It will also arrive on time for "War" like mastan pointed out.

If the PAF want the J-15 solely for navy then why not the J-16 for the airforce? Just wondering.

Yes but when have they ever came through for Pakistan on time? I dont understand why PAF keeps tripping on the same stump.

There is a saying in Pakhto which is roughly translated to "trip on a stump once, it wasnt your fault, trip on it again and your an idiot" well the PAF and army have been tripping on it over and over again.
