Yes but when have they ever came through for Pakistan on time? I dont understand why PAF keeps tripping on the same stump.

There is a saying in Pakhto which is roughly translated to "trip on a stump once, it wasnt your fault, trip on it again and your an idiot" well the PAF and army have been tripping on it over and over again.

it might be soley for the Navy...coz Mirages are not going anywhere soon especially the rose ones and recently bought ones from Egypt...They are getting Cheetah upgrade for strike missions...so no need for J-16.

Mirages are too old now J15 twin engine modifications pak specific can carry more load deep strike integrate Pak weapons. We can keep few but age is another matter

J-15 for naval use and J-16 for airforce instead of the new F-16s. That's what I meant

With the Su-35 there were two issues that I remember:

1) The Radar

2) The ability to incorporate Chinese & Pak weapons i.e. source codes.

Since these two issue were not addressed satisfactorily, it was dropped. Given the reliability & parts issues with Russian h/w PAF was actually using them as a decoy for a EuroFighter deal. Used + New, but the Turks messed that one up royally.

I believe the ones Pakistan was looking at, were used. Also it's dead according to Khafee so no point in it now.

F16s with CSF are the best for PAF.

I am just trying to say if we cant afford these at that time. Then we cant say PAF have any other option then CSF F16 ?

Sadly, given the hodgepodge of equipment the IAF operates, almost none of which talk to each other, the IAF simply doesn’t understand networked warfare, nor does it care. Stuck in the 1980s’ mindset, the IAF still believes in kinetics while the rest of the world has moved towards electronics. The simplest explanation for this is the scene from Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark, where an Arab swordsman comes around flaunting his sword skills and Indy simply shoots him with a revolver. Here, the IAF is the Arab swordsman, who thinks a better sword could have won him the battle, instead of transitioning to a revolver; Lockheed Martin is the revolver salesman, who futilely tries arguing with the swordsman to give up his sword for the revolver.
