EuroFighter - Back burner, no funds. The Turks messed this one up for PAF. Had they not jumped in and started looking at the used Italian ones, the financial terms would have been in PAF's favor.

J-10 / J-15 / J-16 = ONE platform has been agreed upon in principle, subject to further tech & financial negotiations. Which One?

That is a fair point. Especially given that project AZM is still a decade from paying up anything. In addition to the many economic issues that need time to be resolved.

The only good reason I can see for us getting something like this would be if we intend to make extraordinary moves on the Kashmir front.

Other than that, I agree that it may end up being counter productive for us to introduce something like this into our theatre.

Isn't this called shooting in the dark? It's bound to hit something. It's like using a buck shot instead of a bullet, it is bound to hit something.

Thanks for Fantan reminder. How could I forget them. I used to watch them take off from my uncle’s roof top.

India knows everything about Su30/27..... they have been flying them for years. Su30 have poor showing on feb27 so I will be surprised if we go after something we already know is not up to the par .Chinese have the copies so really nothing left to guess for Indians.
J16 is terribly expensive to maintain and their overhaul cycle is very short .... are we willing to spend so much money?

One thing that can be openly disclosed for now, is that it will be tailor made for PAF, so Avionics, EW, Engine will all be better than what PLAAF flies right now.
