One thing that can be openly disclosed for now, is that it will be tailor made for PAF, so Avionics, EW, Engine will all be better than what PLAAF flies right now.

The Su-35 was a decoy to get a better deal on the EF.

J-15 is also for specific ops.
J-20...we are not ready yet to accommodate immediately.

J-16 twin engine deep strike platform.....fulfills our immediate requirements. (Russains would have been persuaded to say "no objection" by chinese bros)

The offer was made to GoP during IK's recent visit. They are currently contemplating, and have NOT yet given an acceptance letter to the offer. The terms & Conditions are being worked out by both parties.

Once that is done a formal announcement will be made.

Hope it's J-16. Because it has the most powerful AESA radar of the three. Only the J-20's radar surpasses it. It's radar, I have read, is better than the Irbis-E of the Su-35. There is a rumor that China is fitting some of it's Su-35's with the J-16's radar. Also, due to to RAM coating, it's RCS has also been reduced. It would be the ideal self escorting deep penetration strike fighter that the PAF needs.
