We should had added J10s much before than.
The original versions were not up to our requirements.
Secondly we neither had finances nor the imminent need. PAF waited until our adversary committed to a $9B purchase and put its plan in motion.
With China committed to CPEC, it is in their favor to have a strong Pakistan Defense. Things have also accelerated with their confrontation with India.

I believe by providing Pakistan with ~ 40 J10, 45 J-15, (unkown JH7 qty) even for free (let's say $3B) investment on China's part upends the apple cart. Now India has to look after its southern flank and divert a lot of resources defending areas like Pune or Chennai or Kochi that they had never intended to.

Cheif said JF17 performed very well againt Mica what does that mean??
I believe he meant the M2k/MICA threat was negated. The mirage radar were effectively jammed and they couldn't use MICAs.

There has been said that JF17s had locked multiple IAF jets as well so atleast one should had been given a go ahead for the kill since instead of taking on PAF jets, IAF was running away for their lives. Breaking their locks and locking them was done by F16s as well. Lets not forget that.
You should ask the AirBoss incharge why the RoEs were set as they were.

So 2 squads of J10s it is. I think we will keep them at northern and eastern side. Southern side will be pretty much covered by J15s where as, JF17s will be providing support to both J15s and J10s at every front. I think F16s will be used as fighter sweep just like last year to pave the way for Chinese jets to ran havoc inside Indian territory.

If we ain't getting F16s anymore, than its end of my argument. As i said earlier, my point is relying on the claims that F16Vs are coming. Anyways with so many choices at play, I hope our planners, plans the best out of every platform.
I did not say that. But planning for contingencies is always prudent.

Ofcourse not but Feb 27 like opportunity won't be coming that easy moving forward. We had complete air dominance on that day.
Yes we did. I would have been ecstatic if we had splashed all 9. But it may have unintended consequences of escalation that may have been detrimental to our country.

@Salza your argument in favor of the AMRAAM is a strong one, and I believe it is well noted within the ranks of the PAF.

However, we must also understand that - if the Chinese weapons were perceived to be lacking (in any department), the country simply would not have been allowed to build up the power projection it has efficiently executed these past few years.

In addition, my casual conversations with folks working in the industry indicate that the US has always been concerned about the Chinese AAM development roadmap. Allied HVAAs that have bossed the Asia Pacific skies for decades have to rethink their game plan.

we are over obsessed with Feb-27th and from the trend i have noticed is getting arrogant as far us enthusiasts are concerned, i pray to God our planners are not being this way, our enemy is cunning and licked his wounds and rest assured next time they will come better prepared

Are you blind to the amount of construction thats happening in Pakistan?
I am not...construction is not industrialization....one segment might be..

"..Industrialization is the process by which an economy is transformed from primarily agricultural to one based on the manufacturing of goods. Individual manual labor is often replaced by mechanized mass production, and craftsmen are replaced by assembly lines..."

And brother use your words carefully...this is not PDF.

INDUSTRIALIZATION IN countries like pakistan is not an easy affair.IK team is rebuilding a destroyed ROME in reality while facing enemies from inside and out side very bravely and intelligently with a very timely and fruitful input from our leadership in uniform.
