If 1000km range of an antiship cruise missile like Zarb can be attained...then along with J15s stationed near the coast...any hope IN might have of a blockade would become a pipe dream.

Getting a hit at an intended target from this long range (1000 Km) is not easy and that too at a moving object.

Intersting to see no one has seen IK show a new map of Pakistan as step ONE!

That's what IK has said it. Its a first step in liberation of Kashmir. Interestingly for the first time, we are directly claiming entire IoK as part of Pakistan.

Would this be possible without the new acquisitions?

Subsonic cruise missiles are the best solution to hit moving targets at a long range. An antiship ballistic missile would struggle...unless it's a big target like an aircraft carrier. A hypersonic cruise missile would be less maneuverable...as compared to a subsonic.

The best case would be using a subsonic cruise missile with a low flying capability...that is datalinked for guidance by some other source(like an MPA or AWACS providing guidance). During the terminal phase it can turn on its own seeker(active or passive) and make a supersonic or hypersonic dash towards the target.

Yes, at these extreme ranges, you need a very sound guidance system. I hope we have one. We have seen unbelievable accuracy of our cruise missiles. Hitting the target pole. Really insane.

At such long ranges unless the target is stationary or extremely slow moving and huge...u need an external sensor that's tracking that moving target. A cruise missile cannot carry a powerful enough radar to track its target at such long ranges.

The idea is to intercept(crash into) the target...and for that missile needs to be in close proximity of where the target is going to be by the time the missile gets there. If no continuous guidance is provided(from a radar constantly tracking the movement of target and providing course correction to the missile) then basically u r shooting the missile with the initial information(detecting the target's initial speed and heading and estimating its path based on that...then shooting the missile). When the missile gets there...and the target had changed course...the missile turns on its seeker and finds nothing.
