Eventually Destroyers will come too, as well as a decent number of fighter jets. What I am waiting for, is the launch of PN's offensive Air Arm IA.

you are going cause strokes and heart attacks. Hospitals are already busy with coronavirus. They dont need people coming in because of "pak ka napak sajeesh"

Massive bomb dropped by @Khafee I was waiting to see the reaction but surprisingly no reaction yet. The implication of this is immense.

From my point of view, this essentially means China is building up Pakistan to take over responsibility for protecting the maritime CPEC link. Such a massive force will be powerful enough to be a regional power on its own right.

Obviously Pakistan cannot afford this so where is the money coming from? China of course.

Now, if Pakistan can cash in on a future US attack on Iran, that would be... getting ahead of myself, I'll leave that convo for another day.

150 aircraft - what would it include?
2 JF-17 squadrons
2-3 J-15 squadrons
12-20 MPA
4 approx AWACs
5-10 approx SAR helicopters
20+ PN helicopter fleet

What this implies -
A considerable expansion of not only the air arm but the surface and sub-surface arms. Very likely - Destroyers.

Assalamoalaikum.
I was going through posts in this thread and while reading the posts of respectable @Signalian , a thought came to my mind about possible acquisition of J 15s by PAF.
We have already discussed that because of Russian factor, it may be relatively better to choose J 15 amongst the chinese flankers, plus, the PN needs twin engine, heavier fighters more than single engine jets. But one thing is quite interesting in choosing these particular flankers.
The airbases of Pakistan throughout the country have hangers built for single engine, relatively smaller fighter aircrafts. Dimension wise, the biggest aircraft that we operate is F-16 whose rough dimensions are 5, 10 and 15 meters for height, width and length. The dimensions of flankers are roughly 6, 14.5 to 15 and 22 meters for height, width and length.
Out of these dimensions, length doesn't seem to be a problem as we have seen hangers to be quite long in comparison to the aircrafts. Height has the difference of 1 meter which may also not be a problem inshaaAllah.
But the width is too much to be parked in any hanger made for F-16 size aircraft at maximum.
J-15 has folding wings and the folded dimensions in width are about 7.42m, or roughly, 7.5 meters. In wings-folded state, they can be accomodated in any hanger within Pakistani airbases inshaaAllah.
Just my thought for selection of J-15 over any other chinese flanker!
I might be wrong totally.

I wouldn't be surprised if somehow J-16s make it into PAF after a few years. Where all the J-15s are transferred to PN.

Like members have stated this seems like a quick yet thoughtful answer to the Indians Rafael's. With the main emphasis on making the machines available on ground.

The infrastructure all around Pakistan would be made after and I wouldn't be surprised if it isnt already under construction. Que your argument (here)

Allah na hi kare. World is moving towards stealth jets and we are wishing for Flankers. Instead of fully going in to Chinese camp. We should have equally good relations with China and US.

Stealth 5th generation will be obsolete soon, and focus will shift back to 4.5th Gen for at least 2 more decades.

Trust me, 5th Gen, Apart from stealth, Isn’t mission friendly, The payload capacity, Mounting capacity, Restricted movements, and furthermore, The advancements in Air defence Tech, Stealth might be soon obsolete.

Rather, We must wait for 6th Gen.

Some 6th Gen projects in works are :

FCFS, AZM, China, USA, Boeing, And Iran’s Ultra advanced Tidda Qaher 313 188th Gen Fighter
