Regarding all the talk about F15, not sure how much truth or fiction it is but in case there is some truth in it regarding the US pushing it, then the unfiltered random thoughts that come to my mind are

1. US knows very well that the next "NO" to supplying any military armament to us would be their last NO
2. So instead of saying "NO" they offer us F15 which will break our bank. Per flight hour cost of an F-15 is many times more than that of an F16
3. With F15's we will need to invest in a totally new repair and maintenance infrastructure requiring additional investments and time
4. Will add more complexity to our logistics for spares and armament
5. It will take another decade for us to devise strategies and master the jet for effective use
6. All this translates into US wanting to say "NO' to F-16's but not being able to say it, wants to make it very difficult for us by appearing to give us a better weapon system but making sure that we won't be able to use it effectively in any possible conflict in the near future

6. The US is pissed off at India for rejecting its various repeated offers and wants to taunt India by offering us a better jet
7. Has lost all hope in India being able to counter China after the dismal performance of 2/27 and does not want to lose its influence on Pakistan, which is now totally aligned with China posing a bigger threat to India and thus US interests in the region
8. US knew/knows that PAF is interested in acquiring a twin-engine plane from China and wants to block it by offering F-15

For PAF
While time is very important and F-16 provides the best bang for the buck in terms of capability enhancement in a very short time and at an economical cost and with least disturbance but with the moderate risk of sanctions on spares and armament in time of need, Twin-engine from China instead of the USA not only mitigates that risk but also strengthens our bond and military cooperation with a more reliable and trustworthy friend and ally

Last 8 F16 were approved by Obama even ADF released by Kerry Obama AH1Z were approved by Obama too they were more open hearted than Trump

F-15 will be an "extra" force multiplier...US knows we have been in talks with China since 2018.....so time is up for deliveries ....

J10P and J15 will offensive along with our good old mirages .

Main Role of F16 (existing and upcoming) along the JF17 will be defensive with BRV capability on border line, like combo worked very well on 27th Feb in downing's IAF Jets.

2nd tier of defence or interceptions will done with F7PG , JF17 old blocks may be non BRV F16s to protect/intercept key location

I have reason to believe all of PAF F-16s are BVR capable, including ADF. It was always a software update away.
