IMO now role of these new inductions
J10P and J15 will offensive along with our good old mirages .

Main Role of F16 (existing and upcoming) along the JF17 will be defensive with BRV capability on border line, like combo worked very well on 27th Feb in downing's IAF Jets.

2nd tier of defence or interceptions will done with F7PG , JF17 old blocks may be non BRV F16s to protect/intercept key location

There are basically two kinds of missions an air force undertakes - A2A and A2G

In terms of A2A, the J-10P and J-15 will offer the following unbeatable advantages:
1. LR-AAMs. Very long range AAMs that neither F-16s have, nor JF-17s can meaningfully carry.
2. Heavy EW capability, again neither of them can offer, particularly a Growler variant
3. The real advantage, shared with the JF-17 is constant upgrades are possible, unlike F-16s, which are already dated and obsolete as a spear tip. This is a critical advantage in modern times, something Indians didn't understand. They have expensive platforms but obsolete subsystems.
4. Large, powerful AESA radars that can be used both as EW devices and as radars that can "burn through" enemy jamming.

In A2G:

1. Larger, heavier weapons, supersonic weapons that can sink / destroy virtually anything PAF / PN puts their sights on
2. Range, one of the most overlooked aspect of air warfare
3. Fear factor - the ability to bomb Mumbai and other major cities at will is a very sobering effect for India. See General Bipin, no beeps from him after 27th.

About the aircraft that are flying - if the whistling sound is relatively loud, it is most likely the J-15. Because of the large number of control surfaces and aerodynamic shape, some sound is generated by the wind flowing over the aircraft. A Mirage or a similar cleaner design, would have minimal -almost no "whistling sound".

that's what i said, what i saw was an object bigger than f-16 or jf-17 or mirage with prominent blue lights and whistling sound. I might be wrong about the size of the object because of relative height, it was going slow towards sea

PAF chief visited Skardu base today. As per the press release, PAF is keeping an eye of aggressive Indian procurement recently and necessary measures are being taken to counter them.

This statement today do back possiblity of what being claim in this thread.

Why will we even reject f16Vs at first place. We won't, we are still talking to them so that we can get them thru CSF. Talk should include aim120 D at any cost. And if you are suggesting that US will sanctioned us because we didn't accepted their F15 offer than I think your assessment is wrong. They knew for years that we only want F16s from them. F15s I believe were never requested.

this Image is from February when sherdils came to karachi for 27th feb celebrations
moreover the induction/re-equipment ceremony usually includes a 4 ship formation of new jets or
4 ship formation having 3 new and one old jet(the one being retired) and the old jet pulls up it is something like the missing man formation

They are offering BLOCK 72 for sometime and no they will not cancel BLOCK 72 but INSHALLAH offer you F 15 EX. Few reasons include your strategic location you being Nuclear power in Muslim world. You providing them Afghanistan peace deal and above you are one big market and good market as you provide good ADVERTISEMENT for their products when you use them to shoot down enemies jets
