Under Project Vision, which commenced operations 19 years ago

"Insignia of Project Vision: Home of indigenization "

& yes they are worthy of having this insignia. WHY ? Because ;

  1. Was lucky to look & shortly briefed at the demo / training / simulator of Air Space Management Centre (ASMC). It is something to be praised of ?
  2. PAF indeed has done alot of hard work in Fusing her data collector nodes into one giant Picture, it involves variable modes of sending data to ASMC which ensure atleast some form of redundancy.
  3. @Khafee that mystery project you were so much intrigued about last couple of weeks ? Where you were like WTH PAF is going to do with this stuff. Well if you remember it were some minds at Project Vision which cooked up that amazing potion ?

Something like a global hawk (wishful thinking)
You must have heard of the QF-16, and the unmanned F15, I was thinking what if an unmanned erieye AWAC.

So, not the Global Hawk & unmanned Eagles, BUT will Wing Loong be good enough guys  ?

I think they will get the job done for the dedicated role you guys are discussing until PAC get her MALE UAV up in the air.

It depends upon the higher hierarchy how they use the assets.

You need a bigger platform then Wingloong to have a big enough Synthetic Aperture Radar Installed.
GlobalHawk is the best in class.

Then I feel Turkish Akinci is a good candidate but still under development.

Chinese are developing WZ-7

And General Atomics MQ-9B Sea Guardian (Indian Navy is purported to have been cleared to get this)

Well all I can say is it is your lucky day brother. :)
Men have already been trained on use of SAR Synthetic Aperture Radar. That is why I said that it is upto the Higher Hierarchy to decide where to use the asset.

Brothers it a known unknown. Well it is in open sight, we discussed it here below.
Regarding the "mystery part" , it begins when you jump in its design scope and implementation.
The use & implementation is open for all to discuss as for obvious reasons I cannot go into the project scope side, which is the reason it makes it kind of a mystery.
@Gripen9 You do know a bit about it already :)

Well they are still being used, had honor in Designing a Control System for Modern balloon barrages. Cannot say more on open forum except that you will Find ingenuity in Pakistan Armed Forces (i think its attributed to our restrictions to low resources) like its embedded in their DNA especially in PAF. You would be surprised if you know how this Balloon barrage is being used in 21st Century by Pakistan.

Sure, it will be of less use against Modern SOW but still there are Certain threats that PAF thought could be neutralized with innovation.
