bhai again see the map why Lakshadweep islands .... ???? which are small very much defendable by India .... why not somewhere else n the region read the map read the history of few agreements concluded by different countries of the region read the recent history of political changes in the region ....

we have options available to us but could we avail those options and in which manner are the important questions and related to brain ...... like there is saying in Urdu "dushman ko hatyaar se nahi hikmat se mara jata hai" [Translation Enemy is killed by Strategy not by weapons]

@Gripen9 @mtime7 Can i tag u both in new thread US expectations ,Demands ,Guarantees from Pakistan regarding that peace agreement as both of u can give better input from US point of view and i can /will present (and hopefully many other informed Pakistani members @HRK ) other side of argument as i m firm believer making that peace agreement successful will benefits all of us i.e.AFG,USA and Pakistan

I think @Gripen9 has summed it up very nicely already.

Would love to have the big Hawk. Unfortunately current US-Pak relationship is a bit strained. I do not believe US will approve GH for Pk. They just allowed India MQ-9B sea guardian recently. Pakistan because of the past trend of being sanctioned by the US will not buy any US hardware with hard cash (which currently it has very little of). Pakistan claims around $12B in frozen CSF (coalition support funds) which is not aid but monies owed to Pakistan for providing support to US forces in AFG. It was rumored that that money will be allocated once Pak brings Taliban to the peace table. Which it did. And the truce has been holding true for the time being. Trump wants to pull out of AFG and Pak wants to have a bigger role to play in AFG post US withdrawal more likely draw down of force. I do not foresee Us removing itself 100% from AFG. If those CSF funds are released, they can be used to buy US military hardware in that case maybe we can look at US UAVs

I cannot add much apart from that;

1. it is not Impossible but maybe not on the cards at the moment.
2. With procurement from Eastern friend &
3. Our own MALE UAV under progress in PAC, it seems difficult Pakistan would pay from own pocket for such system.

Maybe brother @mtime7 can be of more help here. It is kind of breaking news to me, but I am skeptical as Pakistan might not be cleared for Drone exports even if we gave our own $$ apart from CSF. When working with US it is not just $$ but other factors as well.

But who knows, we have been surprised many a time before & I for one would certainly like to see US UAV in our inventory because;

"every Western & mainly US weapon system sets a Bar, a Benchmark for Pakistan & we make sure that whatever parallel system we get from China or is developed in house atleast meet those standards if not exceed in some cases."

Not to mention China is catching up pretty Fast & in many a cases are now providing equivalent quality stuff.

If we buy them in small numbers it will help us understand the shortcomings of our own program and help us to further develop it. Buying equipment isnt always just for the sake of using it but mostly it's to understand how it works and how your own should function.

Valid point, But with China we mostly do not need to worry about $,

Is USA willing to grant a Credit line for us? Is it that much desperate? Does Pakistan even want to integrate another major US weapon system & increase the amount of items for which we are dependent upon US?

If State of Pakistan play's her cards well, why not get best of both the worlds.

Hell, India payed to get Russian & US systems, what a sight it would be Pakistan using her geo strategic importance does the same with China & USA without worrying much about $$
