Has the thought of "bargaining chip" crossed anyone's mind, yet? Maybe the intrest in J-10 is propagated to show the Americans that we can pursue alternative options if you do not cooperate with us, on our deals.

Which could have 2 consequences for the Americans.

1.loss of a customer in these economically changing times.

2. Loss of even more American influence on PAF, PA and Pakistan in general. Which would make it even harder for America to gain influence, again.

Let us go for a small walk, close your eyes, One should just zoom out, look at the bigger picture, a bird eye view, change the camps from Pakistan's to her nemesis, all of em, & you will feel the Frustration, the Agony, inside you, for what on Gods Earth you have not tried to get rid of these people & their land, from;

1. Unfinished agenda of Partition; Kashmir; that led to Wars
2. Internal Political Disorders that led to
3. Martial Laws, which welcomed
4. Sanctions &
5. Gave birth to non-Ideological Politicians whose sole Belief are Power & Money rather their state & people,
6. Economic Terrorism & Dis-Order by economic hit mans,
7. Corrupt Politicians, Judiciary, Bureaucrats & Men in Uniform as well,
8. Worst Judicial system & Judiciary,
9. War on Terrorism whose gifts I may not need to repeat again,
10. Exploiting the weak & troubled of our nation by hijacking their cause & producing cults like of PTM, BLA etc,
11. Made to suffer one of the worst sectarian war,
12. Last but not least the nation itself is corrupt to the core, not all but a many, where you will not find pure milk for infants, expired & fake medicines even life saving drugs,
13. & much more which I cannot pen down here,

Many Countries on the planet have been blown apart by just facing 1 or 2 of the above disasters BUT after enjoying all of above, YET here we are, on the sides we also managed to achieve some things where many failed,

Just imagine our current economic condition & put all of the @Khafee Leaks of Past year & present as well, they are happening as we speak even in such chaos;

Always sitting on the edge but moving forward, helped by Almighty & some of our friends,

So, we are here to stay, if not us, our generations will make Pakistan reach her destiny. As you rightly said the reason is the Sacrifice, the innocent blood of it, and still we are paying with blood as Thomas Jefferson said,

"the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants"

Our problem is that we have bled the patriots for most of the part of our history, now the turn is for tyrants / traitors ....

when in past we bought the Russian design fighter from Chinese manufacturing institutes. We had given them new names like
Mig 17. Called. F-5
Mig 19 Called F-6
Nancheng 5 become A-5
J 7. Called F -7
J10. Was in consideration as FC-20
Sir will we change the name of J-15 as our past or we will continue the same name.

Pakistan has been doing that for last 2 decades and its not going to work everytime .Considering how quickly these things are happening looks like Pakistan is actually going to buy a squadron of J-XX's so that Pakistan threat doesnt seem like a bluff ,I am not an expert on US-Pak relations but i dont see any leverage that Pakistan may have after US-Afgan peace , that we may able to use to get any more equipment from US , So its time to look into our future procurements that arent US made

Sir i can not answer this question because i am not a member of PAF. But sir @Khafee can answer this question. Might be some spare parts of old mirages of Egyptian Air force. Might be they are getting some spare parts for their K-8 . But PAF people can answer it very well.
