Even if they are not getting them, I wish they would at least publicly claim that the game has moved on to 5th Gen now.

of course India is also working. But we have seen their track record. They like to announce and boast about mega procurement deals. Then spend next 10 years milking multiple foreign suppliers of whatever they can get from them.
On the flip side, they do panic buys that are not very well thought out. They went to get Derbys for SU30s the next day after Feb 27th spanking. Now suddenly buying SU30/Mig29s off the shelf from Russia.

Now will US allow them to have F35 and S400? if that happens, we will be forced to introduce a similar platform most probably J35. But that is not happening in the next 5 years.

PAF Faisal is smack in the middle of Karachi now. it was never an operational Flying base (since I can remember). Only navy uses it for its operations - NAS Mehran. They were also told to look for alternatives but didn't and the Mehran attack happened
Not a suitable location to base fighter aircraft. It can be used for recovery purposes.

So coming back actual topic, @Khafee. all these happening at time. Will it effect timelines of quantity of J15 as planned by PAF ?

F7 overhaul facility is there, major base in karachi is Masroor where J-15 could be based.

I would rather see them based around Gwader. Build a new airbase in south western Baluchistan that gives us some depth and also obscure the assets from prying eyes. It also gives us some coverage over Iran.

I'm not very well educated on this but i believe relocating or reassigning a JF squadron to a new base near Iran shohld be enough. The gap that they leave should be taken up by J-10s.

If the one based in Peshawar is moved and then those assigned J-10s. That would be good too. Those J-10s can act as support for the F-16s and then go on the offensive when the F-16s clear any incoming threats.

And its not cause I want to see J-10s flying from Peshawar base

Bholari, at one time was going to be Masroor's replacement. It was supposed to base tranche 2 of F16s. Once they got sanctioned the project got shelved. I believe now Bholari & Jacobabad are full operational bases?

Initially it was Peshawar but then was moved to Karachi in 1948 and then back to Peshawar in 1960 i think. In 83 AHQ moved to Chaklala and in 2005 after completion of AHQ building in E9 Islo it moved there.

That being said it's way too crowded now abs both the airbase and the airport needs to be relocated. Probably both relocated into Ex-Fata territory now.

Yup. AHQ moved to Islamabad in 1988.
