Critical hardware are not part of the list. Not air defense systems, fighters, tanks...etc.

the other reason they procure Russian air defence systems is because some of their systems are better then some western systems. now this doesn't mean they wont procure them in the future because Algeria has been getting closer to China they recently received 50 PLZ-45 SPHs and 3 C-28A Corvettes armed completely with Chinese tech so who knows what else Algeria will go for next. they have a decent defence budget but doesn't know what to spend it on.

Algeria has 30 MIG-29s in service. In 2007 Algeria ordered 65 more MIG-29s but due to "inferior quality" Algeria decided to procure SU-30MKAs

In War of Independence against France, Russia supplied our fighters with weapons and later recognized Algeria as independent from France. In 1960-1970s we began modernizing the military and our major weapon supplier was USSR.
so nowadays it is easier to buy Russian products for less Logistic issues. but we also have opened purchasing from China, UAE, Germany, Italy and some other West countries.

from What I have heard Brother the Algerian air force will order 12 KA-52s. KA-52s were on our interest list and it is possible for purchasing, we also are a potential customer for the S-350 and some say we have Krasukha-2 EW on order

I have heard you guys did order the Krasukha-2 EW and are very interested in acquiring the S-350 after the S-400

The S-350 will acquire for us to counter the recently acquired Moroccan Sky Dragon 50 from China and we are buying Krasukha-2 to counter the RMAF.

I don't think so, but they are moving closer to China for weapons
