@Scorpion we have 4 Improved Kilos, with 2 regular Kilos submarines in which 2 more Improved Kilos will be ordered to replace the original Kilo. it has an endurance of 45 days and a crew of 52. it also fitted with a MGK-400EM digital sonar.
armament: launcher for 8 Igla-S SAMs, 6 533mm Torpedoes, 24 Naval Mines, and the Klub-S Missile

what was the point of the HQ-9 order, your air defense forces contracted for, when you guys have S-300PMU2s +S-400s?

I think Algeria does operate the S-400 already! does it not?

what was the point of the HQ-9 order, your air defense forces contracted for, when you guys have S-300PMU2s +S-400s?

SU-57 has a larger potential being bought here then J-31, because we exclusive have Russian Platforms. China tried pitching us the JF-17, but was rejected as a coastal fighter, and instead MiG-35 was looked at more. but anyways the SU-57 has a better potential in which we would buy anywhere from 3-4 squadrons (36-48) aircraft.

anyways the HQ-9 was technically a political purchase at the end more then we "need" because China was proposing HQ-9 to Morocco, and we are only looking at buying 1 HQ-9 battery (9 launchers) just to kind of keep the balance.
we do have S-300PMU2s and S-400s but we are also looking at the S-500 once it comes Available.

@Alpha would not surprise if you guys end up buying the BUK-M3 to replace a few S-75/125/200s in the near future. I like that you guys are buying more modern AD systems..
Our Defence Companies project that Algeria in the future will buy the S-350, S-500, BUK-M3 and Sosna as well.

The Serbians seem desperate to export their weapons to anyone in reality, they may not seem it, but them pushing or hoping for major potential exports is showing the complete opposite.
it is also the fact they been asking the UAE to finance some major projects notably the ALAS missile program. I see the Serbs pushing for the Algerian market just for the cash though, not much else.

I do agree with you, the only thing I see us buying from them which even has the slightest chance is the Nora B52, the rest nope, because our army uses the 7,62mm not 5,45mm.
though a huge order in our competition is for ~130-140 wheeled howitzers, in which would probably bring them more cash to their pockets and stuff however, if we continue this discussion man, we must open a new thread
