actually this was earlier during the conflict i would say 2010-2011. but we have 800 soldiers in Afghanistan still to train and advise the ANA (Afghan National Army) to fight the Taliban.

The LaGS is being developed by Diehl and all the LaGS is a laser guided AIM-9 air to air missile. In German service they will be used by the Eurofighters and Tornados. Diehl is expecting the LaGS to enter service in late 2016-2017. The LaGS will also be used to strike ground targets.

@Gabriel92 The Bundeswehr is procuring the HK416 to replace the G36. I do believe France is making a great decision but they should get license production. but i already know some forces of the French forces have HK416s in service

What is the mechanic malfunction in the G36? I don't see any and its still in service in the royal saudi navy.
