JF-17 Thunder has been spotted with Multiple Ejector Reck (MER) recently.

Multiple Ejector Reck is a weapon suspension unit that attaches to the aircraft's main racks/pylons that can carry multiple weapons. JF-17 Thunder can carry two weapons on each MER.

You are kind of contradicting yourself . So US will not allow coproduced JF17 but yet allowed Russian made SU35 / Mig29 and alligators etc ???? Heck even Chinese drones are being used by the Egyptians.

Egyptians desperately need BVR equipped aircrafts in large numbers.
They are up against 450 state of the art BVR equipped Israeli and over 400 BVR equipped Turkish aircrafts .
F16s with the latest BVR cannot even compete with JF17......Egyptians need numbers not types of aircrafts able to launch BVR missiles .

Brother if i may add the 30 Su-35s will be missile trucks in their own right. They can carry ideally 10 R-77s, and 2 R-73s and with the Kibhiny jammers they will be able to jam the enemies fighters until they can get close enough to launch missiles in TWS mode.

Although JF-17 Block 3 would be good for Egypt especially if integration of other weapons from countries like the UAE is possible. I would hope for at the minimum some type of TOT for weaponry and the aircraft.

Does anyone know if it is it confirmed that JF-17 Block III is getting PL-15 or is that speculation?

Till date it is a speculation that has good probability to be true.

Rumor has it that PL15 came to block2 last year during the standoff.Some people confirmed it but no pic of a JF17 with PL15 is available

After last Feb 100 were brought in, since then. you can safely assume that number has gone up

Someone else, also asked me this question, but I was not sure and was waiting for confirmation, now I have that.

What @Araz has stated is true, but since then, about 200 more have been delivered.

EDIT: The initial 100, came from PLAAF inventory.

No one in public knows about what features and addition Block 3 will have everything is just pure speculation just few things were confirmed after seeing the 1st prototype of JF17 BLOCK 3

Happy anniversary: Today, 17 years ago on 25. August 2003, the first FC-1 prototype no. 01 performed its successful maiden flight.

Indeed amazing and impressive in what that type evolved.
