We can wait, and when the result is what has already been decided, do feel free to come back to earth.

What is the point of Bajwa even visiting if the result has already been "decided"?? I am sure there have been some behind the scenes talks/negotiations and don't think he would go if the situation was so bad.

As I said earlier, pragmatism must prevail as both sides can go blue in the face telling each other how much the other has done/supported the other over the years. Just lay it out saying this is what we can do and what we cant and this is what we prefer you not do in the future to avoid issues like this again. Overall I hope everything settles down and gets back to normal inshallah as there is too much to lose for both sides but especially Pakistan.

Let us wait and see. A move like that in the political world is always potentially dangerous. However your assessment about this coming from SMQ backed by the Irani Ayatullahs is wrong in my humble opinion. Something much more serious has happened behind the scene which is not known to us. But SMQ would have had guarantees to some effect from someone ottherwise a maverick/loose cannon like that gets shown the door straight away and SMQ is far too polished to do so.
Q

Sir, just because you are clueless, and have zero A grade contacts, in either world, doesnt mean I am in the same boat.

Hi,

Can you kindly expand on what concrete steps are expected? How can rapprochement be proceeded? What are KSA's grievances from Pakistan? Will SMQ's resignation be enough to pacify Saudis or PM IK should resign? Should PMLN be brought back and Nawaz Shareef be made PM?

NS will not be brought back nor will his family be allowed to come back in any significant way. He is a useless buffoon of the highest order and quite frankly a traitor. It was under his watch that this whole Yemen fiasco happened and I am sure the Saudis haven't forgotten that despite all the help they gave him. Along with the fact that he is just totally incompetent and cant even be trusted to run a samosa stall. Its so sad to know that Pakistan has been cursed by him and his ilk and the PPP and their band of grave worshipping thugs and traitors. May Allah SWT forgive us and rid us of these parasites.

Sir.
As I understand this is an opinion forum. People are here to express opinions. I will fully cede to your superior contacts. However, at best the situation will crystallize after Bajwa's visit.
Araz over and out of this thread.

Bajwa Sahab, himself invited, himself. The rest you are smart enough to figure out yourself.

Right now, despite all the support given to Pak, the Saudis are tired of Pak being held hostage to a minority, KSA's Plan "B" is 99% done, and are ready to walk away. Without ANY concrete steps from Pakistan, nothing is going to change.

We all wish and hope for the best, but when Pak is not ready to take concrete steps, nothing much can change. Right now SMQ blamed OIC, tomorrow he will blame UN, day after it will be SARC. Unless inhouse cleaning starts no one will take Pak seriously, including China.

COAS's vist is a face saving, lip service attempt. One which will last for barely 30mins max. The rest of the planet excluding Pak, is weary of this lip service business. Empty words will only get you so far.

Pakistani media is not waiting, but i agree that only posters at world-defense.com should wait, but seriously tell me, why is Saudi Arabia so important to solve Kashmir dispute? While SMQ can build a forum which can solve Kashmir issue... it's common sense we should go for the later.
Sitting at such position, what we want to achieve by sending Bajwa to Saudi.

Pakistan should go right ahead and build a silly bloc with Turkey, Iran and Malaysia, and then give the rest of the sane world, A Ballpark time frame for IoK becoming Pak Admin Kashmir.

How come no one asks Iran to make a statement against IOK? Why is the onus on GCC alone to do that, give Iran being our "brotherly" neighbor? We want to form a bloc that includes a country with a history of aiding our enemy and launching attacks on us via its proxies.

What are some of the concrete measures Pakistan must take? A few I can think of off the top of my head:
1.Stop being influenced by the current Iranian regime-I agree but we need to maintain cordial ties and cant cut ourselves off. They are our neighbors and you cant wish away your neighbors along with religious ties.

2.Remove SMQ-I honestly thought he would do a better job but he has been mediocre at best so no big loss if here were removed. The only issue is he has a huge vote bank in south Punjab and that could be in jeopardy if he were unceremoniously removed for IK. Also, who could be worthy potential replacements for foreign minister??

3.Keep your grievances private, not public-Pakistan must learn statecraft in this area better!

@Khafee your thoughts on concrete steps we must take would be appreciated here. TIA.

Which country is that kept on ranting, that "Pakistan is isolated", their strategy didn't work, so now the tactic changed to using "Manchurian candidates" via a sectarian card.

No matter what ill, the retard Mullahs of Tehran do, it is halal, and being their mental / physical slaves is the gateway to heaven.

THE world is tired of People & Countries who indulge in lip service, eventually the "buck" has to stop somewhere.

Haters are going to explode at the thought of this, but Pindi boys do follow what I write. I have given them enough ideas, as to how, not only get over this debacle, but build a relationship built on trust, and mutual benefits.

I am waiting for this meeting to get over, to see what actually they have learned, before I comment.

Broadly speaking, you have covered most of the points.

Easier said that done. The rot goes deep, decades of tentacles been spread down from the grassroots to the upper echelons of power. Weeding it out will be a slow careful process, they are capable of doing immense damage within the country. The important thing right now is to start the weeding out process. Counter to intuition, it's much easier to do that from the top-down. Once the process starts, it will become publicly evident. So far no one seems capable, or even willing to take any steps in this direction.

If this was stupidity on SMQ'S part he would have been shown the door. There is a plan and a good cop bad cop situation being developed for reasons which remain unclear other than Pak polity looking for support on the Kashmir issue(seems very superficial for a cause ). There is something muvh more serious going on behind close doors and a tight lid is being kept on it. SMQ is a very smart gent and would not make a statement just like that without the go ahead from Hi up.
A
True, its not SMQ alone, it was someone word which he deliver, as we know SMQ he will have zero concern regarding kashmir at all, so this statement just public showoff drama and actual context will be entirely different, but these metter can be solved behind closed as past, why a public drama

Kitnay ghareeb ho, the next few months, will make it crystal clear.
Sir , losing a true friend is more damage than a financial poverty. When we learn it, no more incidents will occur of this type. And people like SMQ will brought to justice for their damage of diplomatic ties between two friends.

Agreed, Chinese may give us a way out and also, hopefully, our Armed Forces have done some contingency planning beforehand for situations like these.

Wait for the Chinese to slap some sense into you. You will soon figure out how important you are to them.
