Americans have slowly loosened their strings :

right after Feb 27/28 incident they approved almost $200 million dollar maintenance and supervision contract for the F16s.

few months ago they allowed Pakistan to buy pods and sensors for the F 16s.

I can almost see the trend which way we are heading...

Hi,

Once the customer goes out of your dealership to try something different---you may lose your customer forever---.

The only problem for pakistan and the saving grace for the US was that the Paf never had the brains to think like that---.

See---there is a way to do things---.

Who knows about the J10C's---the chinese---and then the Paf---.

If Paf had inducted the J10C's and claimed them to be superior than the F16---who would have stopped them in making that claim. Who would have said the claim was not believable---no one---.

Americans hate to be made to play second fiddle---. They would be running around with f16's ready made to be delivered to us anytime we wanted---.

Let's just assume tomorrow we get approval for Block 70 F16s along with all the gadgets and everything on our wish list. What I am worried about is the Indian response.
They will show up in Washington for their Randi rona and demand F35 to counter these F16s. I have no doubt in my mind that after India's drama with China they will get full sympethaic ear in Congress and for sure will get approval for F35s.
Then what? How are we going to counter F35? what options we will have to match F35? As far as J20 is concerned it doesn't seem to be any where near the F35 capability.

Agree J20 not power with F35 , but not that bad either. When making combinations of J20 with J16 or J11Bx , this combination is enough to counter endian.
Secondly F35 on its own have alot of issue, not much war proven.

I already qouted earliar, from indian 15 billion bughat thay allocated only 6 billion for teja samoosa,
Remaining 9 billion is open , even that can be increased too, can be used on 2 option

One additioanl rafales other F35. They can go for any of it in near future
