Honourable Sir @Khafee and MK, HRK mostly the reasonable lot of PDF. , J-15 has quite a huge RCS, isn't that right sir? @Signalian ? Just joined here, been following this thread for many days as well as the one on pdf where all newbies and kids who dont know sir @Khafee ,bashed and mocked him. To see how would J-15 differentiate from SU-33.
Reportedly J-15 uses a higher proportion of composite materials than the Su-33 to save weight. J-15 is considered multirole while SU-33 was envisioned as air superiority aircraft. SU-33 has MAWS ? J-15 has MAWS. Buddy refueling is enabled in J-15. These Surface strike missiles; the Supersonic (Mach 3) YJ-91 and the subsonic with longer range YJ-83K (range 125 miles), could bring in new innovations for PAF and PN.

In EW domain, If J-15D comes close to EA-18G, that holds a major advantage for SEAD/DEAD/Jamming platform for PAF.

Does J-15D exist ? I was really hoping for J-11D as that's something really really better (would have been) than J-16 once completed since it is rumoured to use SU-35 structural upgrades which has very small RCS

EuroFighter - Back burner, no funds. The Turks messed this one up for PAF. Had they not jumped in and started looking at the used Italian ones, the financial terms would have been in PAF's favor.

J-10 / J-15 / J-16 = ONE platform has been agreed upon in principle, subject to further tech & financial negotiations. Which One?
Do give a reason / guess why you think it would be that platform.

J-15 was based on SU-33 when a prototype was bought from Ukraine. Initially it used Russian engines as the chinese engines were not reliable and had issues on sea. China wanted a plane similar to F-18.

J-15 comes with WS-10 enignes which we might also see on Jf-17 Blk 3.......So what does J-15 brings and what benefits would it have?
Twin engine, heavier payload, more range. And since its based on SU-33 and used on China's aircraft carriers, so it would be able to take off from short runways.

It would be interesting to know if PAF will also be getting J-15D EW variant which is similar to F-18 Growler. Off course the jets would have lots of PAF specific modifications.

This would serve as stop gap planes before arrival of Project Azm and would most likely be stationed in Karachi or Gawadar.
