Probably PL15 and PL10 along PL5Regarding the J15(land configuration for PAF). My guess is that while it will be for PAF...these jets will be stationed near the coast to back up the Navy. This would include providing the naval assets with air cover, antiship missions, etc.
If above is the case then the most likely opponent of J15 in the air would be IN Mig29K. Can any knowledgeable member do a comparison of those two aircrafts?...like radar range, aircraft range, BVR/WVR missiles and their effective ranges, etc.
P.S. @Khafee could u plz see my post on PDF...I posted it before I was a member here.
Long range SAMs
I'm not active over there. Can you copy and paste here?Could u kindly look at my post regarding this on PDF? I wrote it before I joined here. Also now I'm here too![]()
The IN MiG-29K's are equipped with the Phazatron Zhuk-ME Pulse Doppler Radar that can detect a 5m² RCS target at 120km. The range of the J-15's AESA radar (for the PAF) will be most likely have twice that range as it is most probably be having around 1500+ TRMs. Plus PL-15 and PL-10 will completely outmatch anything the MiG-29K would be carrying. Then integration of the Ra'ad, CM-400AKG, C-802, H2/H4 etc will make it even more lethal and with a longer reach to deliver.above is the case then the most likely opponent of J15 in the air would be IN Mig29K. It depends where the aircraft carrier is located during any conflict. It also depends which PAF aircraft is facing IN Mig-29.The IN MiG-29K's are equipped with the Phazatron Zhuk-ME Pulse Doppler Radar that can detect a 5m² RCS target at 120km. Do a Pre Feb 2019 comparison of SU30 MKI vs JF-17 and you will observe SU 30 MKI comes on top in certain areas.Yes.
I was responding to this query, from @Cookie Monster ...

F-16 - 90% YES
EuroFighter - Back burner, no funds. The Turks messed this one up for PAF. Had they not jumped in and started looking at the used Italian ones, the financial terms would have been in PAF's favor.
J-10 / J-15 / J-16 = ONE platform has been agreed upon in principle, subject to further tech & financial negotiations. Which One?
Do give a reason / guess why you think it would be that platform.
Interesting development... I don't believe Pakistan will pursue this path anymore of EF (?) Fact being, Sanction Prone avionics/engine, Another F-16 like dilemma, If Turkey fails to get EF for itself due to sanction, and we get a chance to get back on table and eventually get them, Turkey would be upset on us (?) (Mauka dekh kar apna ullo seedha kardia? Most probably a NO ) Could be not as well as it would have large options to choose from Russia/China. What's your take on it @KhafeeGermany bans exports of arms to Turkey: Bild Am Sonntag
OCTOBER 12, 2019
FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Germany has banned arms exports to Turkey as a reaction to the country’s assault on the Kurdish YPG militia in northern Syria, German weekly Bild Am Sonntag (Bams) quoted the foreign minister as saying on Saturday.
“Against the backdrop of the Turkish military offensive in north-eastern Syria, the Federal Government will not issue any new permits for all military equipment that could be used by Turkey in Syria”, Foreign Minister Heiko Maas told the paper.
Germany exported arms worth 243 million euros ($268 million) to Turkey in 2018, accounting for almost one third of all German weapons exports, according to the paper.

Will / Can this development make case in favour of Pakistan i.e PAF again ?? I think being a main Partner in Eurofighter Program all the founding countries have a say.
@Khafee you thoughts ?

There is a thread on Turkey and Erdogan already@Khafee @Signalian @Cookie Monster @Mangus Ortus Novem @Philip the Arab @AliYusuf @Caprxl Since the failed coup attempt, Turkey or more specifically Erdogan has been playing aggresively with it's former / Ex-to be Allies such as US, EU. Do you people consider this act of sovereignty & honour protection by Turkey a wise or foolish act? Turkey has a very important strategic location and is considered a bridge between east and west (East and west here implying the Soviet-China-Pak-CA WHILE west implying NATO). Could they have played better in different areas to at least still have vast access to western tech since now Turkey is not trusted much in that regard. I have a feeling that Turkey is right and wrong, latter being more?
Ok sorry, taking it thereThere is a thread on Turkey and Erdogan alreadywe can discuss there
