That's why excited to see twin engine in PAF that will give us edge which we don't have before. And as mention u before me and @Gripen9 not as young as u think we still remember during 80's endians crying over f 16 purchase music to ears ,love to hear it again
Interesting reply want to share from elsewhere. Mirage Battle Commander on a potential J-15 purchase:

2 big squadron to support the south eastern front as Air superiority fighter's with JF-17 being the work horse while F-16's are focusing on the north eastern and eastern fronts will force the Indian's to come there knees. Twin in PAF will be as big of a move as PAF purchasing the first F-16's in the 80's- Twins will be phenomenal and will compliment Jf-17 like icing on cake.

Indians are very object oriented. It comes from worshiping objects like idols. That is why when they see a fearful "god" (to them) like an F-16, they prostrate themselves. Muslims are supposed to be less object oriented (although these days we are getting pretty close to the Hindus). As such, we (are supposed to) focus on higher objectives like justice (mentioned 256 times in the Quran), freedom, equality, compassion, brotherhood.

This is why Indians as a nation see the F-16 but do not see the organization, tactics, strategies (ideas) behind that F-16 that is the key. This is why they obsess over Rafale fighters (object) rather than modern BVR tactics (ideas).

According to the Muslim theologician and philosopher, Malek Bennabi:

Each time the idea disappears, the idol prevails anew and vice versa. In 1925, it was the opposite that took place: the idea of islah which had just appeared shook the old pantheon whose idols collapsed... (A Question of Ideas in the Muslim World, Malek Bennabi).

The J-15 is not just a weapon system, it is an idea. The idea is moving past its 60 years of defensive mindset into a new mindset where Pakistan is willing to dominate and set the agenda.

excellently explained, thank you.
It also sides with the saying that the man (training, objective, tactics etc) behind the machine is important.

I will conclude my opinion by saying this that for me if there is a loop whole we should take advantage of it. Even if PAF likes to get its hands on J 16 they should go for it just call it J 15 in contract and in official terms, but Mirages should go. Mirages are 53 years old and there is limit to how much you can upgrade a 53 year old machine. They have done their job just retire them it's not smart to loose pilots for 53 year old machine. Yes money is issue but with China we can discuss some terms as it's getting clear in past two months that we are pretty much China's only ally.

I stand corrected if that is true. However, how do we know that? What info do we have. I'm going on the basis of knowledge and terminology he has consistently used which suggests he is a veteran.
Literally today he said that he is 22 years old and thinking to come to Pakistan to apply for PAF
