When ISIS starts losing ground [literally] on every front, then many of them [the jihadis] when they realize that they'd embraced a dream will start deserting. Maybe if those who the old woman spoke to call to mind her words, they won't be so eager to keep fighting for ISIS.

Bring in the Borkan: Syrian rebels unveil latest weapon in the fight against Assad... a homemade cannon mounted on a digger which blasts gas canisters two miles

With a range of almost two miles and four tubes attached to a loader, these are the homemade cannon being built by rebel fighters in Syria.

The ‘Borkan’ ('Volcano') weapons are built from gas canisters before being placed inside the loader, which can fire four shells at a time.

Photos revealed al-Shamiyah Front fighters in Aleppo launching the missiles towards forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad yesterday.

The Front was formed more than two months ago after rebel groups fighting in Syria's northern Aleppo province agreed to form an alliance.

The images emerged as a group monitoring the war reported gunmen killed at least 12 Islamic State militants in al-Mayadin, Syria, overnight.

The unidentified gunmen on at least two motor bikes first opened fire on an ISIS patrol before attacking militants guarding a nearby court.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said a second group of gunmen attacked an ISIS checkpoint in the town, near the Iraqi border.

Meanwhile, today, two activist groups said Syrian government airstrikes on a rebel-held suburb of the capital had killed at least ten people.

The Local Coordination Committees activist collective and the SOHR said today’s air raids targeted the Arbeen district, east of Damascus.

Boko Haram's leader just pledged their allegiance to ISIS. My worse fear becoming realized. The terrorist groups are starting to come together.

What is this? A competition among terrorist groups? Those horrific earthly specimens should just rip each other off and do us a favor. That way, no country has to sacrifice a single life just to stop terrorism and protect borders. Let's not go too far by citing those so-called "prophecies." If you look closely, the Muslim world is as divided as can be. Look at the Sunnis and Shiites. They can't even go near each other without throwing bombs.

Like I said in another thread, we should build a really big wall around them and take all the innocent people to safety. Let them kill each other. Turn it into a penal colony. Probably be the only way to end the problem for good.

A group monitoring the Syrian civil war said on Tuesday government forces carried out a poison gas attack that killed six people in the northwest, and medics posted videos of children suffering what they said was suffocation.

President Bashar al-Assad's government has previously denied accusations that it has used chemical weapons against rebel-held areas in the four-year-old war.
