I

IT all depends on the war planner sitting in Joint services Head Quarters. If they will fire ballistic missiles then MAD will be inforced on us too.for eastern indian states we might use Chinese air bases in Tibetan autonomous region.
Chinese bases, this is a new thing which again is highly improbable keeping in mind the chances of Chinese actively participating in an Indo Pak war are negligible (based on historical track record).

If this scenario ever takes place, it will be only in case of a major war involving 3 nuclear powers, trying to redifine borders of Kashmir and north east India. So, in most probable scenarios, our jet fighters, taking off from Pakistan, wont be required to target areas more than 1000 km from our borders.

All this debate on the fact that your mind is engraved with “US CAN NEVER BE SECOND”,

Is it done?

Why no SD-10s fired on Feb 27? Why ask me? I was not participating in the Op.

I had asked this question and here is what I learned:

"In a situation where you know you have one shot, you would use your best of the best. It is not about a VS b, but which of the two you have reliably used before."

So the Chinese forces who are standing eye ball to eye ball with the US Navy over the South China Seas ... are able to do so just out of the benevolence of the Americans?

Sir , F-16 V of two squadron might be answer for the Rafale. What we will do against hundreds of Su 30MKI. Then MIG 29, M2K, jaguar, MiG 21 Bison and upcoming trenches of Teja.
I know most of them are not in parallel to our f-16 and JFTs. But we must not underestimate our enemy, is saying by Hazrat Ali (r.a). So if we can be prepared we must do our part of job then rely on Al Mighty Allah's help.
For the role division in different types of jets. I think PAF must completed its home work and then they had order the jets. Thanks

We have 70 odd F16s and 100 plus JF17s to care of them. 50% of Indian inventory cannot fly at the same time and they have serious maintainence issues which their experts acknowledges as well. Just see, last year with so many Su30s and mirage 2000s, they chickened out from the scene and didn't strike back. Heck they even had lesser range bvr missiles. Even now if you take rafales out from the scene than you will find lesser quality in their inventory.

Sir,

Two issues

1) Now we cannot take rafale out of equation.
Even now if you take rafales out from the scene than you will find lesser quality in their inventory.

2) What happened on Feb 27th, is not bound to be repeated again, IAF will have definitely studied their deficiencies and would hit back in a much stronger and synchronized manner next time.

So even with F-16s and Jf-17s we would need other platforms as well, to counter Rafale equipped IAF which most probably won't repeat last year's mistakes.

PS what is the availability %age of F-16s and JF17s?

But sir we must prepared for their full fleet. And just suppose if Israel air force reach to help them in air attack on Pak soils. What we will do then..
