Prop planes where what all aircraft carriers flew before jets took over in the late 50s. Even then, they lasted till as late as the Vietnam war.

What roles they can play:

1. air defence armed with Sidewinders (or equivalents). Useful against enemy helicopters, UAVs and subsonic cruise missiles
2. Bombing / attack against enemies that don't have fast jets (i.e. Houthis)
3. Anti Surface
4. Anti submarine (Like S-3s)
5. Jamming / electronic warfare

Props are light and require much less length of runway than jets do. Thus easy to pack onto an aircraft carrier. Just do an image search of WWII aircraft carriers.

Sir i got your point i have idea about the aircraft thay still can used in ground support very well. But my question what benefit thay provide small heli carrier. i can understand utilizing of helis but prop aircraft where we use, our see is not linked with iram or Afghanistan or Waziristan where thay can be used as ground support .. on sea our enemy can use them as duck shootong practice, taking them to enemy's group area .. is not the case sir

J31 or its new version j35 can be possible option but it has time, but for J20 china need to change there doctrine as according to the most latest and advanced weapons in any main category , cant be exported untill china has locally new weapon then that in inventory, so J20 is till today is latest and most advance fighter for china and not available for export to any one.

To what you have said above, and I have underlined, this is a possibility. Those "borrowed" from PAF could always be "swapped" with something else from PLAAF inventory.

Well, what you have presented is a plausible option, but one on the extreme side. PAF or PN's primary responsibility is it's defensive and offensive doctrine, not swapping assets.

A crew, (by that I mean pilot, and ground crew) maybe very familiar with PLAN / PLAAF eqpt. but the level of comfort, and training, it has on its own assets cannot be matched. Hence why this is a bit extreme.

This is an idea that would be shot down even before it leaves the word of the suggesting officer. CSG's are supposed to instill awe and fear, besides thier military utility.

A prop carrier would just be a joke, and not worth the effort or cost. Either you go all out, or you stay home.

It is too early to say if it will come or not, but Tech from J-20/31/35 could very well make it Project Azm

Absolutely! The whole idea behind a Chinese heavy Twin, includes not only today's missile arsenal, but future AAM's as well.

One missile that quietly made the day of light in Pak was the CX-1, the equivalent of Brahmos. Time will tell if it appears, as is, or an indigenous variant, or as an evolved hypersonic missile.

Well Said! Prop A/c's or Coin A/c's can only be used where SEAD /DEAD has been achieved. The only place I see them, if they ever come, in the Pakistani context is Border Patrol, and Counter Insurgency Ops.
